Notice to bakers re multipage notables

 

Our notables aren't currently getting picked up up by wearethene.ws. - not since #238.

 

Newsbaker knows, i'm trying to find out whether the missing ones can be restored.

 

Problem almost certainly comes from the way we handle multipage notables, all laid out in this post in the Office:

SOLUTION:

If notes go over a page, we gotta treat em like two completely separate buns - each with a header and a space between em:

 

Also:

When labeling the bread numbers, please don't put spaces inside the character string (#239a not #239 a).

 

Could probably use variants like "#239Pt1" or "#239-1" - but i don't know for sure. Just got a heads up from newsbaker on the #239a and '''#239b"' examples.

If notes go over a page, we gotta treat em exacly like two completely separate buns

 

Key points:

  • Bread #239 becomes #239a and #239b

  • Please don't put ANY SPACES within the character string (#239a not #239 a)

  • Be sure to separate the two new buns with a BLANK LINE

How to Split Them Across Pages/Posts so Aggregators Can Pick Them Up

 

  1. all posts have character limits of between 4700-5000 and also line length limits (200 lines?)

 

  1. Longer than that, you get a "body too long" message when trying to post.

 

  1. If notable bun is too long, it must be split.

The problem is that you can't just split it any old way, because aggregators can't pick it up unless correctly formatted.

i can collect notes late at nite - which i did last nite. Just can't stick around til mid-morning to watch bread or bake.

usually, bokes or d2l show up before i leave.
