Can't go into much detail here but at Church there was an incident today. The ministry I serve in had to respond to a code 3 call. I was point and had to engage a very disruptive individual, it was stressful and had the potential to escalate.

I still haven't completely unwound from it.

>figured it'd take your mind off the day

It helps.

After the incident I walked down the hall to the children's ministry area and looked into the room between services. I watched 3 little kids standing on a bench throwing their paper airplanes and chasing after them to do it again. They were innocent, just having fun and completely unaware of what took place not very far from that area.

That took my mind off what happened also and reinforced why I serve in the ministry.

We don't know when or if harm will show up, but we will be in harms way.

The children, the moms, the newly wed, the innocents, the parents, the grandparents, the staff and everyone who wants to worship in peace is why we serve.

>Bill Maher Blames Capitol Riot On Christianity

Been gone from here all day.

My real life consisted of attended Church in a lock down state where the state government now with some support from SCOTUS attempts on all of America to infringe upon our right to freely exercise our 1st Amendment.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

(emphasis mine)

This church is the point of the spear in defending our Republic in real life. This group of people I worship and serve with are putting our lives, our property and even our sacred honor on the line to preserve our Republic.

In these times people believe it is their right and duty to come and disrupt my right to freely Worship God as I see fit. This happened in real life today, someone came with the intent to physically disrupt worship at church. The group I serve with confronted this person near the entrance and prevented further disruption, law enforcement had to be called.

The 1st Amendment is first for a reason, the Founders were deliberate in writing The Constitution and included The Bill of Rights to ensure freedom and liberty for We The People.

These Rights are being assaulted on many fronts, in media, in government, in our communities, in business and in our Churches. Everybody here is fighting to preserve those Rights.

We need to stay focused on the task at hand. We must hang together or surely we will all hang separately.
