If there was no Marine out front, does that mean the President is not in the oval office?
Debra Saunders [White house correspondent's last day in print pool and briefing pool]: This morning I saw there was no Marine out front - the front door, at the 9:45 briefing. I asked lower press and lower press says we don't have to have a Marine out front when the President is in the Oval Office. I've been getting emails and questions ever since I filed the pool report. If there was no Marine out front, does that mean the President is not in the oval office?
Jen Psaki: The president was in the oval office this morning working, receiving the psb, and all the things your aware of from the schedule. There hasn't been a change of policy.
Saunders: So if there is no Marine there it doesn't mean anything?
Psaki: Again, I mean, I could certainly talk to them about specific circumstances of this morning but I can report to you the President is in the Oval Office and the policy that has long been in place continues to be in place.
Debra: Well, we are fascinated by this.
