He's got a few bass guitars. I made one of them, a five string semi-hollow 24 fret-fretless (birch inlays). Made a few regular guitars also.
He's playing a full size upright bass for school.
I think school is bad for my son in general. He learns more on his own and is discouraged from doing other things because the schoolwork takes most of his time.
He played Metallica's bass solo from Kill 'em all at his sixth grade talent show. Kid was exposed to metallica in the womb.
