I wouldn't say Dave counts as a paytriot. He doesn't charge money, everything he does CAN be accessed for free. Dude puts out daily podcasts, has to pay the bills somehow.
Modern Scientists (and especially Engineers) can be preeeeetty fucking stupid sometimes. Took "scientists" what, a decade to figure out that "fat free" makes you fat? Better yet, they push for electric cars, which is fine on it's own, but between chinese lithium mining practices and the fact that people are scared of nuclear power (and don't push for thorium), they have coal powered cars that I'd put a lot of money on ends up putting out more emissions than burning gasoline directly.
