Taliban RAISES FLAG at key border crossing with Pakistan (Report – Watch!)
The Taliban has claimed they have captured the Spin Boldak crossing - near Kandahar - along the Afghan frontier with Pakistan, declaring it is now under their control. (BBC)
Unverified footage shows the Taliban flag raised above the key border post - although Afghan officials have denied Spin Boldak has fallen.
The Taliban took the crossing with no resistance, according to reports, as the insurgents continue to make sweeping gains in the country after foreign forces stepped up their withdrawals from Afghanistan.

Thousands of anti-vaccine demonstrators gathered in Greece’s two largest cities on Wednesday – protesting the new health mandates which also included MANDATORY immunization for medical staff.
Protests took place outside the parliament in Athens and in the northern city of Thessaloniki – with crowds reportedly chanting “Hands off our kids!” while banners read: “We say no to vaccine poison.”
Greek authorities have blamed a recent surge in confirmed Covid-19 cases on crowded entertainment venues and under new restrictions, leisure and hospitality venues will only be open to people who are vaccinated – the policy to take effect on Friday.

Belgium also under flood
DELUGE of rainfall triggered flash floods overnight across western Europe – with some villages reportedly reduced to rubble in the region.
At least 42 people have died in Germany and 6 in neighboring Belgium, with dozens still missing. German Chancellor Angela Merkel called the floods “a disaster” – expressing her shock at the scope of the devastation during a visit to Washington:
“We still don’t know the number [of deaths]. But it will be many.”
Dozens of people had to be rescued from rooftops with inflatable boats and helicopters – with Germany deploying hundreds of soldiers to assist.
A true extent of the damage and death toll is only likely to be known when the floodwaters recede.
