Hostages tied to cars in a massive bank robbery
Bank robbers tied civilian hostages to the outside of the car as human shields during a massive assault in Brazil that killed at least three people.
About 20 robbers, armed with machine guns, bombs
and drones, are believed to have attacked three
banks in the heart of Alasatuba, 290 miles from São
Paulo, at midnight.
Raiders attacked local police headquarters, used burnout cars to block roads to the city, blocked the arrival of reinforcements, and then kidnapped locals and used them as human shields.
The video shows a shooter walking down a line of hostages, tied to the roof or hood of a car and escaping. Scattered infrared melee bombs along the route, blocking police chase.
Brazilian media reported that while two were arrested, at least three people, including two civilians and one robber, were killed in the attack.
