It's basically like having an elder parent/grandparent finally succumbing to alzheimer's. It still hurts that they are gone, but you know deep down they died years ago.
I'd say 4chin started to slowly decay after the 2016 election, constant spam shit or boring repetitive threads, mods with their heads up their fat asses and a trigger happy ban button ect…However within the last year the shithole was completely unusable. Incessant bbc worship threads, vapid 'WWYD/How do you respond' threads, JIDF threads trying to instigating shit, and lets not forget the 15 fucking min wait time.
Hopefully some of the veterans from there will bring this place back to how it was in the cripple jew days
