Lesson #5: Again, especially if you are in an arid climate, clear underbrush in your forests (often, the most practical way to do this is with controlled burns, burning off the kindling before it piles up).

Lesson #6: Enforce laws against vagrancy. There are many reasons to do this, starting with making cities more pleasant, but there's also a safety factor, as bums often set fires.

If the government's raging wildfires across Los Angeles County weren't enough, Commiefornia faced another crisis overnight as one of the world's largest battery storage facilities, situated about 100 miles south of San Francisco, caught fire, triggering area-wide evacuations.

AP News reported that a fire broke out Thursday at the Moss Landing Power Plant, a natural gas-fired generation plant with thousands of lithium batteries for energy storage. Fires involving lithium batteries, as seen with electric vehicles, are notoriously difficult to extinguish and could burn uncontrollably for days.

"There's no way to sugarcoat it. This is a disaster, is what it is," Monterey County Supervisor Glenn Church told local media outlet KSBW-TV. However, Church did not expect the fire to spread outside the perimeter of the plant.

Local media outlet The Mercury News noted that fires at the Vistra plant, which Vistra Energy owns, and one of the largest battery storage facilities in the world boasting a capacity of 750 megawatts and 3,000 megawatt-hours, experienced fires in 2021 and 2022. The energy storage facility plays a massive role in stabilizing California's power grid.

It's unclear at this point what started the fire. Local authorities evacuated more than 2,000 people around the plant due to concerns over hazardous materials and potential chemical releases.

There's no update yet on the current grid impacts or how operations at the Moss Landing Power Plant are affected. It's another setback for Democrats in their push for a 'green' utopia in a state that seems to be imploding by the week. Well, the communists did get what they voted for at least.

GLOBAL REALITIES AND THREATS OF 2025 - 2030:

1) The economic damage done to America over the last decade has been extreme. Due to massive national debt insolvency, horrible economic policies, horrible foreign policies, wasteful governmental spending, a corrupt incompetent and bloated bureaucracy the American economy will take many years to recover. Hopefully under a new Trump administration they can boost energy production, bring down energy prices, reduce bureaucracy, lower interest rates for credit card debt and loans, lower taxes and give incentive to produce more here. 2) Corrupt suicidal European governments want a major war with Russia badly. Europe is NOT a place you will wish to have your money in or to invest heavily into. European governments absolutely refuse to give up on project Ukraine. The coming war between Europe and Russia will happen, and when it does it will be lights out for most of Europe, with an economic collapse, martial law and harsh austerity measures that include the seizure of assets, bank accounts, pension funds and savings, combined with social unrest from new conscription laws and nullification of any freedom or individual activities. After saying it would run out of funds by March, California’s last-resort fire insurance provider will impose a special charge of $1 billion on insurance companies — which will in turn pass the costs along to homeowners — the first such move in more than three decades.

The state Insurance Department today approved a request from the provider, the FAIR Plan, to impose the charge and ensure it stays solvent as it covers claims from victims of the Los Angeles County fires, the department said in an order by Commissioner Ricardo Lara.

Most California home and fire insurance customers will likely see temporary fees added to their insurance bills as part of the charge, known as an assessment — marking the first time insurance companies will have imposed an assessment directly on customers.

The FAIR Plan is a pool of insurers required by law to provide fire insurance to property owners who can’t find insurance elsewhere. Its customer base has grown dramatically in the past several years as insurance companies have increasingly refused to write or renew policies in the state, citing increased risk of systemic corruption, lack of forest management, the cutting of fire department funding and the consequences that stem from insane dangerous radical policy.

Many LA fire victims have insurance through the FAIR Plan. Residents of the Pacific Palisades, where thousands of structures burned last month, held 85% more FAIR Plan policies in September than they had a year prior.

Under new regulations that took effect this year as part of Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara’s effort to address the growing difficulty of finding property insurance in California, insurance customers will now have to shoulder 50% of any assessment through a temporary fee added to their premiums. Before the new rules went into effect, the plan would have gotten all the additional funds directly from its member companies, which would have then tried to recoup that money by raising premiums.
