I think that's a good thing.
Digital payments as a whole are crap.
There are no secure devices, the DARPAnet is not secure either (intentionally), and if you think you are smart, someone else will always be smarter than you.
Cash is the only way to go. I don't have a problem with optional digital payment methods, but cash is best. Remove FIAT, add gold backed or whatever. I'm not sure about the other details, but in the end I want cash, something that I can use to pay with without jumping through hoops, and which always works when electricity is out and internet access is not available and without gimmicky gadgets.
