"The far Left's promotion of Proposals 1,3,4 to change the NY State Constitution has gone public. This is the coalition that lost 7 out of 8 primaries for City Council. They can't win elections unless they control; the election system. These amendments would gut the bi-partisan commission voters approved to draw legislative lines, it mandates counting illegals and prisoners, it will permit same day voter registration which will allow unqualified voters to vote, and it will make permanent a system that will encourage paper ballots (which is the most unsecure way of voting.) and a proliferation of ballot harvesting. Good government groups, the League of Women Voters and Common Cause have come out against Proposal one. Even the Left is not united on these amendments. They must and can be defeated.
