BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: Emory University is Training Ground for Chinese Military Scientists Linked to Biowarfare Research with Funding from Dr. Fauci

https://www.planet-today.com/2021/11/breaking-exclusive-emory-university-is.html

Guest post by Lawrence Selin and Anna Chen

Emory University trains, funds, and collaborates with Chinese military scientists linked to biowarfare research.

Chinglai Yang and Ling Ye are faculty members in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Chinglai Yang received his undergraduate degree from the University of Science and Technology of China, an institution under the direct control of the Chinese Communist Party via the Chinese Academy of Science and dedicated to improving China’s economy and defense infrastructure.

In 1996, Chinglai Yang completed a doctoral degree in biochemistry and molecular genetics at the University of Alabama.

Ling Ye is a graduate of Shanxi Medical University and received her M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from the Fourth Military Medical University in Xi’an, China (now the Air Force Military Medical University).

Both have received millions of dollars in research funding from Dr. Anthony Fauci of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

Both have also maintained extensive links with the Chinese military.

Having established an anchor at Emory University with the hiring of Ling Ye, the Chinese military expanded its presence surreptitiously via a 2007 agreement between the newly-established, Fauci-funded Center of Excellence for Influenza Research and Surveillance and China’s Harbin Veterinary Research Institute, a project led by Chinglai Yang.

The Emory-Harbin project provided a backdoor through which China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) could access U.S. knowledge, skills, technologies and funding to be fed back into the PLA’s own influenza research program.

By that time, the PLA had a massive influenza research program of which the Harbin Veterinary Research Institute was a part.

In fact, the Harbin Veterinary Research Institute has been a critical component of China’s biowarfare program because it is the site of China’s second high containment biosafety level-4 (BSL-4) laboratory, the first for large animals.

The Harbin Veterinary Research Institute was directly connected to the Military Veterinary Research Institute, a major center for biowarfare studies, whose personnel have also infiltrated the virus programs at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

The Harbin Veterinary Research Institute was the site of a major 2013 scientific scandal, when a team led by Professor Hualan Chen, director of China’s National Avian Influenza Reference Laboratory, conducted “gain of function” experiments, deliberately mixing the H5N1 bird-flu virus, which is highly lethal but not easily transmitted between people, with a 2009 strain of H1N1 flu virus, which is very infectious to humans.

By 2008, Zhiyuan Wen from the Harbin Veterinary Research Institute and Lei Pan and Ke Dong from the Fourth Military Medical University were being trained by Chinglai Yang and Ling Ye at Emory University and funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

By 2012, in addition to the PLA’s Fourth Military Medical University, Emory was collaborating directly with Hualan Chen, who was, at the same time, working with a key player in China’s biowarfare research program at the Military Veterinary Research Institute, Major General Xianzhu Xia.

The Emory studies with Hualan Chen were funded by the Public Health Service grant HHSN266200700006C from the NIH.

In 2017, Hualan Chen conducted what appears to be another “gain of function” study on avian influenza virus, genetically altering a virus, which permitted transmission from birds to guinea pigs and increasing the ability of the virus to replicate.

That research was funded by NIH CEIRS contract HHSN272201400004C, which was awarded to Emory University, but no one from Emory participated in the study, which gives the appearance of scientific money laundering.

Again in 2018, Hualan Chen received funding via Emory University’s NIH CEIRS contract HHSN272201400004C for research that involved only Chinese scientists at the Harbin Veterinary Research Institute.

It is interesting to note that Hualan Chen was trained at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, Georgia.

The flow of PLA scientists from the Fourth Military Medical University to Emory University continued through 2017 (Huizhong Zhang) and 2018.

Many of the Chinese scientists connected to Emory University still work with the PLA on influenza and other viruses, including COVID-19 with the present presumed head of China’s biowarfare program, Major General Chen Wei.

How COVID Lockdowns Handed Global Warming Extremists The Tools To Crush Freedom

https://thefederalist.com/2021/11/15/how-covid-lockdowns-handed-global-warming-extremists-the-tools-to-crush-freedom/

VIDEO to large

The Glasgow Climate Conference wrapped Friday with so much progress: There was a “joint pledge” by President Joe Biden and an indifferent Chinese dictator to slow down the changing climate sometime in the next decade or so; there was a call from British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to “get on and do it,” whatever that means; there was even a column from The New York Times’ Tom Friedman on how, after seeing all the protests and listening to all the leaders, he’s feeling “very energized, and very afraid.”

It was great. Refreshing, really. I loved it.

Why? Because it felt like a return to normalcy: A few thousand completely clueless, feckless old men flying from all over the planet to babble on about saving the world and maybe even catch a quick nap during the most boring of the mostly boring speeches.

There was excitement, too! They pulled out all the stops: Creepy 20-foot puppet shows, sobbing children completely convinced they’re going to die unless every adult on the planet stops what they’re doing and listens to their teenaged opinions, drum circles, even Peruvian flutes. It felt vintage; as if from a simpler time.

But there’s a major problem: While it might have felt like a return to normalcy, it wasn’t. We’re not going back to normal — at least not without a hard and vicious fight.

Why not? Because the past two years have witnessed the very things that kept those stupid marches largely confined to just stupid marches: our society’s apparent decision to sacrifice liberty on the altar of fear and the triumph of timid technocrats over bold citizenry. This had been building behind the scenes, mind you, but with the excuse of COVID was it ready to be revealed.

Back in 2019, before the global shutdowns, there was a lot of internal debate within conservatism about which direction our society ought to go. Should we stick with our collective devotion to libertine individualism and cheap goods, as lawyers like David French preferred? Or should we move past the modern liberal consensus, and turn to a more involved government that tries to actively reorder society toward the higher good, as Sohrab Ahmari, Tucker Carlson, and a few of us here at The Federalist proposed?

Sohrab, Tucker, and the rest of us were viciously attacked for our heresy against the modern liberal order. How dare we stir up trouble and inflame feelings? We were ruining the club vibe, splintering party unity. We can’t help people global markets have forgotten. And God? He’s just a private venture.

While we had this debate, however, global events — and the left — overtook us. Mary Harrington, an editor of the British magazine UnHerd, puts it this way: “The pandemic state of emergency [shattered] the consensus about individual freedom. Across the developed world, the liberal privileging of individual freedom has been replaced by a de facto acceptance that state power absolutely must be ordered to the common good, up to and including coercive measures where necessary.”

“In other words,” she writes, “all politics is now post-liberal.”

Our government today is indeed far less constrained; more willing to take drastic action for the sake of what they believe is right. It’s the inverse of what a number of us had hoped for — active, yes, but on the wrong side of the good and its God.

A Post-Liberal West

This transformation we’ve experienced has been so sudden and so dramatic that it’s even reshaping our language. Take the word “democracy.” Democracy used to mean rule by the people; it meant a government where there are regular elections with multiple political parties.

Today, “democracy” means something very different — it means rule by a narrow technocratic elite. Listening to every changing claim Tony Fauci utters? That’s democracy; put him on the cover of Rolling Stone. A little rebellion? Some questions about vaccines or voter fraud or Black Lives Matter that aren’t approved by CNN and Co.? That ain’t democracy; that’s “misinformation” — and it stays outside the Twitter.

...moar...

There is a CBS video, dated June 8, 2020, in which the US Secretary of Defense Mark Esper criticizes the decision made by President Trump to “call out the troops” against protestors. You may expect me to be all in cahoots with Esper on that one.

Surprise. I am not in cahoots. That’s because I don’t think the mayhem is being caused by “protestors,” and because it is constitutional for a president to deal with “insurrections.”

I do, however, approve of Esper shooting his mouth off. I can’t recall another moment when a cabinet member stated his disagreement with the president – except when Atty Gen Jeff Sessions insisted on recusing himself from the Russian probe in 2017.

Of course, we all know that Gen McArthur disagreed with President Truman (and got bounced for it) – but then a general is not a cabinet member.....moar...

The Country Has Till September 3rd, 2022 Before Ballots and Data from the 2020 Election Can Be Deleted For Good – We Must Obtain Forensic Copies Now

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/11/country-till-september-3rd-2022-ballots-2020-election-can-deleted-good-must-obtain-forensic-copies-now/

US Law requires that election records be maintained for a period of 22 months after the election. Now’s probably a good time to obtain election copies of records from the 2020 Election.

US Law requires that all voting and elections records related to federal elections like the Presidential Election must be retained and preserved for 22 months after the election.

Of course, Democrats have been trying to erase data from machines for months. This is a clear sign that there is something on those machines that the voting machine companies and the Democrats do not want Americans to see.

Mayorkas says not all 1.2M illegal immigrants with final removal orders should be deported

Anon comment: He's right, all 40 mil should be..

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/mayorkas-senate-hearing-migrant-response-new-border-numbers

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas told the Senate Judiciary Committee Tuesday that the American immigration system is "broken," while stating that not all of the 1.2 million illegal immigrants with final removal orders should be deported.

Committee ranking member Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, pointed to a Sept. 30 memo in which Mayorkas said "the fact that an individual is a removable non-citizens should not alone be the basis of an enforcement action against them." Grassley then asked if this still applied to those who already have final removal order against them.

GOP SEN. LANKFORD DEMANDS MAYORKAS CLARIFY TESTIMONY ON MIGRANTS AFTER LEAKED DOCUMENTS CONTRADICT HIM

"We cannot remove 1.2 million individuals," Mayorkas said, speaking to the impracticability of deporting so many people. He then called into question the validity of those orders.

"I would not necessarily accept the fact that all of them have received due process," he said.

When asked if any of the 1.2 million people should be deported, Mayorkas said those "who pose a public safety threat, who pose a national security threat, who pose a border security threat," should be deported from the U.S.

Sen. Chris Coons, D-Del., defended DHS’s use of "prosecutorial discretion" in deciding which deportation cases to pursue. Coons claimed that "an approach that effectively makes any undocumented immigrant a priority is actually making no one a priority."

TEXAS DEM RYAN GUILLEN SWITCHES TO REPUBLICAN PARTY OVER DEFUNDING THE POLICE, ‘CHAOS’ ON THE SOUTHERN BORDER

Mayorkas agreed, arguing that discretion is warranted both because DHS has "limited resources," and also because it is "a matter of justice" not to prioritize those who have become "contributing members of our society."

Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., asked about those the administration was deporting under Title 42, under which the CDC calls for people from certain countries to be kept out of the U.S. out of concern of spreading coronavirus.

Booker asked if the administration might rescind that order, but Mayorkas said they do not plan to do so.

"Senator, the CDC conducted an independent study with respect to the Title 42 authority," he said. "It determined that the public health imperative required its continued use. The Delta variant was a very significant reason."

Kamala Harris camp leaks to press about racism among the Bidenites

https://iotwreport.com/kamala-harris-camp-leaks-to-press-about-racism-among-the-bidenites/

By Monica Showalter

It had to happen. You know it had to happen.

As poll numbers sink for Joe Biden and fall even lower for Kamala Harris, it was only a matter of time before the fast-sinking USS Kamala started firing “racism” projectiles against the slightly less swiftly sinking USS Brandon.

According to this long report that ran in CNN by Edward-Isaac Dovere and Jasmine Wright:

Suspicion has sprouted out of the bitterness. Last month, White House aides leapt to the defense of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, who was being hammered with outrage by Fox News host Tucker Carlson and like-minded online pundits for taking paternity leave after the adoption of his twins in September. Harris loyalists tell CNN they see in that yet another example of an unfair standard at play, wondering why she didn’t get similar cover any of the times she’s been attacked by the right.

“It’s hard to miss the specific energy that the White House brings to defend a White man, knowing that Kamala Harris has spent almost a year taking a lot of the hits that the West Wing didn’t want to take themselves,” said a former Harris aide, reflecting conversations last month among several former aides and current allies...

The corrupt liberal media came for me, just like they came for Kyle Rittenhouse, and if he decides to sue I say go for it and hold the media accountable: NICHOLAS SANDMANN

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10208119/kyle-rittenhouse-trial-NICHOLAS-SANDMANN-media-defamation.html

The parallels between me and Kyle Rittenhouse are impossible not to draw.

Kyle was 17-years-old when he became a household name after that terrible tragedy in Kenosha.

I was 16-years-old when I was catapulted into the national conversation by video of an encounter with a Native American activist on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.

Kyle was almost immediately labelled a 'white supremacist' and a 'domestic terrorist'.

To many, my red MAGA hat clearly meant that I was a racist.

In only hours a CNN host tweeted an image of me, writing: 'Honest question. Have you ever seen a more punchable face than this kid's?'.

Kyle wasn't given his day in court by his critics.

And neither was I.

The attacks on Kyle came from the national news media, just as they came for me.

They came quickly, without hesitation, because Kyle was an easy target that they could paint in the way they wanted to.

This is the problem with liberal media outlets in the United States. They want to get the story first, get the most views, make the most money, and advance the agenda from liberal patrons.

These outlets cover themselves when they are wrong with small footnotes at the ends of long articles, clarifying that new information has come out and that they have updated their coverage.

News shouldn't be a scoreboard that constantly changes.

News is about coverage that includes a statement of facts that does not need to be corrected. But, the liberal media doesn't do this.

The liberal media rushes to be the first to report.

So every single label on Kyle as a 'terrorist', 'white supremacist', and 'school shooter' in the streets of Kenosha, will only ever be withdrawn after the damage has been done.

In our hyperpolarized society, the first impression of Kyle has been set in stone, probably for the rest of his life.

So to President Joe Biden, Lebron James, Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, and every other commentator: please be quiet.

On November 10th, Lebron James tweeted out 'What tears????? I didn't see one. Man knock it off! That boy ate some lemon heads before walking into court'.

Lebron's tweet reflects the insensitivity and resentment of the liberal media and elites that has surrounded this entire ordeal, from its beginning to now.

In the video referenced by James, Kyle breaks down as he tries to describe the moments before he made the decision to fire his weapon at the people he felt were threatening his life.

It is oblivious to the trauma associated with this event and how it severely affects Kyle.

Taking a life, for any reason, sticks with someone forever and yet the liberal elites would rather turn it into a joke for likes.

Not only does Kyle have to deal with that, but it is compounded with the overwhelming stress and trauma of the character assassination taking place against him.

From my own experience, the death threats, feeling of no future ahead, and that millions of people hate you, is enough to alter you in many concrete ways and permanently.

Make no mistake: even the strongest of people cannot resist the mental impact when the media war machine targets you.

With Kyle's name dragged through the mud, and the clear effect it is having on him, many have started to ask the question whether Kyle should sue for defamation.

While I am by no means an attorney, I have gained some experience on the ins and outs of defamation and can offer an educated guess on what the outcome would be if Kyle were to sue...moar...

BREAKING: FBI Reportedly Using Counterterrorism Tools To Track Parents

https://breaking911.com/breaking-fbi-reportedly-using-counterterrorism-tools-to-track-parents/

WASHINGTON — The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s counterterrorism and criminal division have reportedly began placing “threat tags” on alleged complaints against school-board members and educators. The move comes after the Justice Department issued a memo “designed to address the rise in criminal conduct directed toward school personnel.”

Members of the GOP have argued the Biden Administration is improperly targeting parents who voice concerns about their local school boards.

On Tuesday, a whistleblower provided documents to the House Judiciary Committee alleging the FBI is using counterterrorism tools to investigate American parents.

“Merrick Garland testified that the FBI wasn’t targeting parents,” Rep. Jim Jordan (R) said. “We now know the FBI is “tagging” parents they consider threatening. The Attorney General has some explaining to do.”

Progress: Every Sesame Street Character Will Now Wear A Label On Their Forehead Indicating Their Race

https://babylonbee.com/news/progress-every-sesame-street-character-will-now-wear-a-label-on-their-forehead-indicating-their-race/

U.S.—Beloved children's show Sesame Street has a problem: kids are enjoying the funny Muppets teaching them about letters and numbers without ever wondering what their racial identities are. Showrunners are going to be putting an end to that forever this season, though, as every Muppet will now wear a small index card on their forehead indicating their race.

The change will take effect right away, and every Muppet will always have to wear their new racial identity right on their forehead.

The Muppets, who previously didn't even have a race and just lived together in harmony without worrying about the racial identities of pieces of felt, are all being assigned a race and backstory. The move will help kids think about race all the time, rather than seeing everyone as a unique person.

"We hope this will help kids to see that race is the most important thing about a person," said Sesame Street writer Wallace Lemon. "We don't want kids to see Big Bird, Oscar, and Elmo; but rather, Jamaican, White guy, and Jew. Our goal is to rewire their brains so the first thing they think of when they meet a new friend in their neighborhood or at school is 'What race is that kid?'"

"This is the only way toward a brighter, more harmonious future, where the only thing we ever worry about is race. Well, and gender and pronouns and all that, of course."

Some parents have protested the move, saying that it's better when kids see this diverse group of characters just getting along despite their differences. These parents are currently being investigated as domestic terrorists by the FBI.

Poll Showing Historic Lead by GOP Signals Huge Red Wave Ahead

https://redstate.com/nick-arama/2021/11/16/poll-showing-historic-lead-by-gop-signals-huge-red-wave-ahead-n476727

Since August, when the debacle in Afghanistan ripped away the veil and enabled many to see the real Joe Biden — not through an approving media filter — we’ve seen a cratering of his approval across the board on all major issues. Media may have been able to spin up until that point but once Americans saw how incompetent he was, how he lied about everything, and most importantly, left Americans and Afghan allies behind — many of whom are still there — it wasn’t something they could unsee and it opened many eyes about the “experience” of Joe Biden.

That may be behind the reason that some long-time Democrats in Congress — like Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-VT) — are choosing now to pack it in. Yes, we should take the time to cheer the exit of the execrable Leahy, who had afflicted us in the Senate since 1974. About the same amount of time that we’ve had to put up with Joe Biden. It’s long since time that they both go into retirement.

We also just found out today that a big buddy of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is going to retire — Rep. Jackie Spier (D-CA). So far 15 have retired and more are likely to follow with announcements after the holidays.

On top of that, you have the new polls showing how the public is viewing Democrats and Republicans.

Not only is it not looking good for the Democratic possibilities in the midterms, the polls are already historic.

From Washington Examiner:

The latest Rasmussen Reports survey just out said likely voters favor Republicans over Democrats by 13 points, 51%-38%. The survey found that Democrats are only favored over Republicans among younger voters, black people, Democrats, and liberals.

However, there is a huge 20-point gap among independents who would choose a generic Republican over a generic Democrat by a margin of 48%-26%.

While the questioning is a bit different in the new Rasmussen survey than in past years, the gap is apparently historic and even stronger because the latest survey offered the alternatives of “some other candidate” and “not sure,” said the polling outfit.

We pointed out polls showed voters favoring Republicans over Democrats here and here.

The National Republican Campaign Committee had a survey that also further supported this.

“Among these economy-focused voters, a generic Republican leads a generic Democrat by a 2:1 margin (58%-29%). When it comes to border security, Republicans hold an astonishing 83-point advantage, 87% Republican to 4% Democrat,” said the memo, posted below.

So what does that mean for the midterms? Newt Gingrich, who probably knows more than most about how to successfully take back the House after the wave win he led in 1994, is making a bold prediction about the possibilities after the results of the recent elections. Gingrich believes that the Republicans could pick up 40-70 seats in the House and at least a four-seat gain in the Senate.

Gingrich said:

“I believe an immediate, consistent, and effective Republican application of the lessons of 2021 could lead to a 40- to 70-seat gain in the House; at least a four-seat gain in the Senate; and gains in governorships, state legislatures, and local offices including school boards next year.”

If they can do that with a lot of the right people, then they can blunt some of the damage the Biden team can do as well as do more to hold him to account. Indeed, it’s truly vital, especially after we see the trajectory along the radical path and government seizure of power Democrats have taken over the past year. So this is a very positive assessment that not only can we take back Congress, but we might do it with a historic wave that could help hold it for some time.

It's not about the virus, it's about the election(s)

OUTRAGEOUS! After Massive GOP Interest – Wisconsin Election Officials Are Now Requiring All Poll Workers Be Vaccinated for Upcoming Election

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/11/2-weeks-till-due-wisconsin-election-officials-send-notice-requiring-election-officials-vaccinated/

With only two weeks before the list of workers is due to the county, the Madison Wisconsin election

officials notified Republicans in Dane County (where Madison, WI is located) that all poll workers in

the county must be vaccinated.

Each year the political parties are eligible to provide a list of workers to Dane County of those individuals

willing to work in the upcoming elections over the next couple years. Per a discussion with one of the

workers, normally the list from the Republican Party contains around 40 individuals. This year the list of

workers from the Republican Party is between 200 and 400 concerned citizens. After the due date

(November 30) the government can pick its own workers.

This past week on Monday, with only 2 weeks before the due date at the end of the month, the county

notified the Republican Party that all poll workers will be required to be vaccinated.

>Two jurors holding decision up, outright citing backlash, per US Marshal in Kenosha

That should get them thrown out and new selection.

The ONLY job as a juror is to look at the evidence and make a determination.

Anything outside the evidence disqualifies.

Seems like yes

Reasons Jurors Are Disqualified After Trial Starts

At any point after a criminal trial starts, a judge must remove any juror when it becomes clear that the person is disqualified for any of the “for cause” reasons for disqualifying potential jurors before trial, including:

Disobeying court instructions. Jurors could be removed if they don’t follow important instructions from the

bringing outside information into the jury room.

TBH both times on jury was jury foreanon. Would have quashed any such talk in deliberation room.

"That is NOT relevant to the evidence of the case."

Basic civics lessons needs an upgrade, juror is a important responsibility.

Conservative-Majority Court Chosen to Decide on Biden’s Private Employer Vaccine Mandate

https://www.thethinkingconservative.com/conservative-majority-court-chosen-to-decide-on-bidens-private-employer-vaccine-mandate/

An appeals court dominated by Republican-nominated judges was chosen at random Tuesday to deal with the flurry of lawsuits against the Biden administration’s private business COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit was the winner of a lottery that was triggered by multiple appeals courts receiving challenges to the mandate, which was promulgated at the behest of President Joe Biden and would affect every business with 100 or more workers if it’s allowed to take effect.

Thirty-four petitions for review, or suits, were filed against the mandate. At least one petition was filed in every single court of appeals in the nation.

Federal law says that challenges to a rule in multiple appeals courts shall lead to a lottery, from which one court is picked. That court then handles the cases, which are consolidated.

The Sixth Circuit oversees Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and Tennessee. Active and senior status judges include six nominees of former President Donald Trump, eight nominees of former President George W. Bush, three nominees of former President George H. W. Bush, three nominees of former President Ronald Reagan, five nominees of former President Bill Clinton, and two nominees of former President Barack Obama. That means 20 of the 27 judges were nominated by Republican presidents.

“It’s not good news for Biden,” Lawrence Gostin, director of the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law, wrote on Twitter.

A Sixth Circuit panel will decide whether to keep in place a stay of the mandate that was ordered on Nov. 6 by three Republican-nominated judges on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

The judges said the mandate raised “grave statutory and constitutional issues.”

In a longer opinion reaffirming the stay, the panel said the mandate imposes a financial burden on businesses, “exposes them to severe financial risk if they refuse or fail to comply, and threatens to decimate their workforces (and business prospects) by forcing unwilling employees to take their shots, take their tests, or hit the road.”
