CNN, ABC, and more than a dozen media companies file legal brief JOINING Steve Bannon's bid to lift the DOJ's order stopping him sharing 1,000 files in his contempt of Congress case
• Prosecutors are seeking a protective order that would prohibit Bannon or his team from disclosing materials from the case
• Justice Department says prosecutors have handed over grand jury materials, interviews, and Jan. 6th Committee emails totaling more than 1,000 pages
• Media groups have submitted a motion arguing on Bannon's side
• The press group argues that the government's proposed order would violate the First Amendment
• The Feds argued in their own motion Sunday that Bannon is seeking to 'try this case in the media rather than in court'
• Bannon was indicted this month and charged with contempt of Congress after he failed to comply with a subpoena from the House Jan. 6th committee
• Joining in the filing are CNN, ABC, NBC, the New York Times, and the Washington Post

How Do We Fight Totalitarianism?

1) Model freedom from groupthink
Live in a way that provides inspiration for others to follow:

3) Use humor and ridicule to delegitimize the ruling elite
“We must learn to treat the demagogue and aspirant dictators with the weapon of ridicule. The demagogue himself is almost incapable of humor of any sort. And if we treat him with humor, he will begin to collapse.”

4) Build freedom enclaves or ‘parallel structures’

When enough parallel structures are created a second culture or parallel society spontaneously forms and functions as an enclave of freedom and sanity within a totalitarian world.
5) Action by as many people as possible
But above all else what is required to prevent a full descent into the madness of totalitarianism is action by as many people as possible. An active and concerted effort must be made to move the world back in the direction of freedom.

Horowitz: Studies show an aggressive vitamin D campaign could have prevented nearly all COVID deaths
A recent German study found a linear relationship between vitamin D levels (https://www.theblaze.com/op-ed/horowitz-studies-show-an-aggressive-vitamin-d-campaign-could-have-prevented-nearly-all-covid-deaths) and mortality from covid, and essentially, zero morbidity for those with a D level above 50 ng/mL.
“At a threshold level of 30 ng/mL, mortality decreases considerably. In addition, our analysis shows that the correlation for the combined datasets intersects the axis at approximately 50 ng/mL, which suggests that this vitamin D3 blood level may prevent any excess mortality."
Studies have already shown (https://www.timesofisrael.com/1-in-4-hospitalized-covid-patients-who-lack-vitamin-d-die-israeli-study/) that one is 14 times more likely to die from COVID with vitamin D deficiency.
A meta-analysis (https://www.theblaze.com/op-ed/horowitz-why-wont-our-government-even-inform-people-about-importance-of-vitamin-d) of 23 published studies containing 11,901 participants found that one who is vitamin D-deficient was 3.3 times more likely to get infected with SARS-CoV-2 than one who is not deficient.
The reality is that most people’s levels are below 30 and many are closer to zero, especially among the elderly population.
With studies having shown zero correlation between lockdowns, masks, and vaccines and better COVID outcomes, there are now 142 studies vouching for the near-perfect correlation between higher vitamin D levels and better outcomes in COVID patients.
It is beyond criminal that 20 months into this endeavor there has not been a national campaign percolating down to primary care physicians to test and supplement vitamin D levels accordingly.
As the authors explain, the main cause of death from COVID stems from a “cytokine storm” when the body’s immune system releases too many toxic cytokines as part of the inflammatory response to the virus.
Vitamin D is the key regulator of those cells, and the insufficient amount of D is nearly synonymous with a greater risk for a cytokine storm.
In many ways, a cytokine storm is literally the outcome of vitamin D deficiency.

From 1962, Lehrer taught in the political science department at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).[20] In 1965 he gave up on his mathematics dissertation on modes in statistics, after having worked on it intermittently for 15 years.[2]
In 1972, Lehrer joined the faculty of the University of California, Santa Cruz, teaching an introductory course entitled The Nature of Mathematics to liberal arts majors—"math for tenors", according to Lehrer. He also taught a class in musical theater. He occasionally performed songs in his lectures.[9]
In 2001, Lehrer taught his last mathematics class, on the topic of infinity, and retired from academia.[21] He has remained in the area, and in 2003 said he still "hangs out" around the University of California, Santa Cruz.[22]
