Oz grew up in a mixed Muslim environment where his father’s family practiced more traditional Islam, while his
mother’s family were more secular Muslims. Oz identifies himself as a Muslim and says that he has been
influenced by the mysticism of Sufi Muslims from Central Turkey, as well as the ideas of Emanuel Swedenborg,
the Swedish scientist, philosopher, and Christian theologian.
Oz is a practitioner of transcendental meditation. “When I meditate, I go to that place where truth lives”, he said.
“I can see what reality really is, and it is so much easier to form good relationships then.”
In the November/December 2007 issue of Spirituality and Health, a glossy bimonthly devoted to New Age topics,
Oz coauthored an article titled “Mehmet Oz Finds His Teacher,” about how his wife Lisa introduced him to the
theology of Swedenborg (Dr. Oz’s wife Lisa is from the Swedenborgian community of Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania).

The Couple Jokes It Was an ‘Arranged Marriage’ Because They Were Introduced By Their Parents
Lisa Lemole was born and raised in southeastern Pennsylvania. A spokesperson for the Oz family told Insider
that Lisa’s family has lived in Bryn Athyn in Montgomery County “for a hundred years.”
However, she also has New York City roots. According to Staten Island Advance, Lisa’s father, Dr. Gerald Lemole,
and his siblings all grew up on Staten Island. The newspaper also reported that Dr. Lemole was part of the historical
surgical team that performed the first successful heart transplant in the United States.
Lisa earned her undergraduate degree from Bryn Mawr College, according to AAE Speakers. When she was a
sophomore, her parents introduced her to Mehmet Oz, who was in medical school at the time. The New York
Times reported their fathers were “friendly” with each other.

Gerald Lemole is a cardiovascular surgeon and the father of American author and actress Lisa Oz.
He is of Italian descent.
Daughter Lisa's Fairy-tale Like Marriage
Although fairy-tale-like romance entails a love encounter-based solely on coincidence and fate, Lisa Oz's affair was premeditated.
Her parents, Gerald and Emily, were responsible for their meeting and lifelong union.
Lisa first met her husband, Mehmet Oz, when she was 19 and attending college.
Her husband was still in medical school and worked under her father at that time.
Mesmerized and starry-eyed, Lisa dated her husband for six months before their wedding.
Lisa says that even though the couple has some moments that are unlike a fairy-tale, they still try to face their troubles head-on
for the sake of their undying love.

Ghislaine Maxwell’s lawyers call Epstein ex-girlfriend as witness in sex abuse trial
https://www.smh.com.au/world/north-america/ghislaine-maxwell-s-lawyers-call-epstein-ex-girlfriend-as-witness-in-sex-abuse-trial-20211218-p59in0.html
https://archive.vn/8SUgJ
New York: Eva Andersson-Dubin, an ex-girlfriend of Jeffrey Epstein called by Ghislaine Maxwell to testify at her sex-trafficking trial, told the jury she was comfortable with her own children’s relationship with the financier and that they even had a term of endearment for him.
Andersson-Dubin took the witness stand on Friday, local time, after the judge rejected the defence’s efforts to call a host of other witnesses, as the trial winds down.
An internist by training, she is the wife of former hedge fund manager Glenn Dubin. Dubin retired from running Engineers Gate in 2020, five months after a previously sealed deposition drew the billionaire into the scandal surrounding Epstein.
After Andersson Dubin, in a black suit and horn-rimmed glasses, took the stand, defence lawyer Jeffrey Pagliuca questioned her about her family.
“Did your children get close to Mr Epstein?” he asked.
“Yes,” she said.
“Were you and Mr Dubin comfortable with the relationship Mr Epstein had with your children?” he asked.
“Yes, we were,” said Andersson Dubin, who went on to say that she and her family often travelled with Epstein on his private planes.
Pagliuca asked her if she ever saw “any inappropriate conduct between Mr Epstein and teenage females”.
“I did not,” Andersson Dubin said.
Uncle F
Pagliuca showed Andersson-Dubin photos Palm Beach police recovered from Epstein’s Florida estate after a 2008 search, including two of young girls with Epstein. She identified one photo of Epstein with her youngest daughter and a second with her eldest daughter.
The lawyer asked if she’d ever seen the photos before, prompting her to say both times, “I have never seen this photo before.”
“Did they have a nickname for Mr Epstein?” he asked.
“They called him Uncle F,” she said.
A woman who said she had been Epstein’s “sex slave” years earlier claimed she’d been forced into an encounter with the Dubins. The couple called the allegations “demonstrably false”.
Setbacks to Defence
Earlier, at a hearing before the jury arrived in the Lower Manhattan courtroom, the defence lost a bid to question federal investigators about the steps the government took in its investigation of Epstein and Maxwell. US District Judge Alison Nathan denied its request to question an FBI agent about the agency’s investigation of the sex-trafficking scheme Maxwell is alleged to have helped lead.
Nathan told defence lawyer Christian Everdell that he couldn’t question the agent about why the government didn’t pursue certain tips about others involved in the alleged scheme.
The defence also got pushback when Everdell told the judge it hoped to continue its case on Monday. He said it would allow the defence to call a witness from the UK who could testify that Maxwell didn’t live in a London townhouse when the accuser known as Kate said she visited the British socialite there and that Maxwell forced her into a sexual encounter with Epstein.
“Our client’s life is on the line and we are given one day” to make our arguments, defence lawyer Laura Menninger told Nathan.
Prosecutor Maurene Comey said the defence had “an extraordinary amount of time” to prepare, after the government gave Maxwell’s lawyers notice that the US would end its own case early, and that the defence had five business days to collect its witnesses. Nathan agreed.
“I have a rule,” she said. “You call your next witness or you rest.” She said that “if the case closes today, it closes today”.
After the jury filed in, the defence called Jason Richards, an FBI agent who worked in Palm Beach and interviewed accuser Carolyn, in an effort to show that her testimony contradicted a line in the FBI notes. Next came FBI agent Amanda Young, the case agent.
Next came Andersson Dubin, who continues her testimony.

Cats Vs. Dogs: The Babylon Bee Settles The Debate
https://babylonbee.com/news/cats-vs-dogs-the-babylon-bee-settles-the-debate/
Ah, dogs and cats. One of these is an adorable creature that will love you and be loyal to you all the days of your life, and there's a non-zero chance that the other one is Satan. We wanted to help settle the age-old debate over which one is better, so we gathered up some direct comparisons to help you choose, should your kids want a dog. Or, for some reason, a cat.
Dogs: Will cuddle you in your sleep
Cats: Will cuddle you in your sleep. With a pillow. On your face. Until you die.
Dogs: Wait excitedly by the door when you are gone
Cats: Didn't realize you'd left
Dogs: Were domesticated
Cats: Were just made smaller so they can't kill you as easily as a tiger
Dogs: Love you
Cats: Are vaguely aware you exist
Dogs: Will bring you a tennis ball to play with
Cats: Will bring you—HOLY CRAP, AUTUMN, IS THAT A PIGEON?!
Dogs: Can sniff out bombs
Cats: Are all members of ISIS
Dogs: Can learn tricks
Cats: Will tear up your furniture no matter how many times you spray them in the face with a water bottle
Dogs: Sometimes pee when excited
Cats: Pee out of pure spite, on everything precious to you
Dogs: Excited when you wake up every morning
Cats: Always seem a little disappointed that you lived through the night
Dogs: Demand your full attention and time for like 15 years
Cats: You're always only about 87% sure that you actually own a cat. I know he's around here somewhere...
Dogs: Are just happy and grateful that you let them hang around you
Cats: Believe you should just be happy and grateful that they let you hang around them
Well, the choice should be easy! Stay tuned to The Babylon Bee for our next explainer: Ferrets or squirrels?
>always be suspicious of anyone with a hyphenated last name
Always have since they started doing that. Same for people that identify themselves by their ethnicity hyphen American.
You are American, or you're not.
The funny thing is it was originally considered racist to identify by ethnicity...now they voluntarily do it themselves.

howdya like me meow
Our old cat used to sit on my shoulders and watch me on the internet/gaming.
Do find it odd that they don't have the same rules as dogs since they are indiscriminate killers. Had someone's cat come over and kill a nest of baby chicks, not to eat, just to kill.
If it had been a dog could have legally shot it...not so for cats. Odd.
Witches, and Satanists making laws.
JUST IN: Ghislaine Maxwell Tells Judge She Will Not Testify at Her Sex Trafficking Trial
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/12/just-ghislaine-maxwell-tells-judge-will-not-testify-sex-trafficking-trial/
Ghislaine Maxwell told the judge on Friday that she will not testify at her sex trafficking trial.
Maxwell worked as Jeffrey Epstein’s pimp for years and the DOJ knew they were running girls as young as 12 but they refused to act.
Maxwell pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from her role as Epstein’s ‘madam’ from 1994 to 2004.
Maxwell faces the following charges:
Count One: Conspiracy to Entice Minors to Travel to Engage in Illegal Sex Acts.
Count Two: Enticement of a Minor to Travel to Engage in Illegal Sex Acts.
Count Three: Conspiracy to Transport Minors with Intent to Engage in Criminal Sexual Activity.
Count Four: Transportation of a Minor with Intent to Engage in Criminal Sexual Activity.
Count Five: Sex Trafficking Conspiracy.
Count Six: Sex Trafficking of a Minor.
Counts Seven and Eight: Perjury (stemming from allegedly false deposition testimony during a civil suit).
According to the 24-page superseding indictment, Maxwell was involved “in the sexual exploitation and abuse of multiple minor girls by Jeffrey Epstein.” From approximately 1994 to 2004, Maxwell “assisted, facilitated, and contributed to Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse of minor girls by, among other things, helping Epstein to recruit, groom, and ultimately abuse victims known to Maxwell and Epstein to be under the age of 18.” Some victims were as young as 14 years old.
Ghislaine Maxwell remained defiant on Friday and told the judge she won’t testify in her own defense.
AP reported:
Ghislaine Maxwell, the longtime associate of Jeffrey Epstein who was charged with sex trafficking after the financier’s death, will not take the stand in her own defense.
U.S. District Judge Alison J. Nathan asked the 59-year-old British socialite to stand in court Friday afternoon, explaining that Maxwell had the right to either testify in her own defense or decline to.
“Your Honor, the government has not proven its case beyond a reasonable doubt so there is no reason for me to testify,” Maxwell responded, attitude defiant.

This is a mop-up operation.
The Ghislaine Maxwell case began with Obama Judge Alison Nathan, who already blocked some content from the media.
One of the lead prosecutors is Jim Comey’s daughter.
She was involved in the lost video incident from the jail that purportedly showed Epstein trying to kill himself in his so-called first suicide attempt.
The fix is in.

Covington Catholic Teen Nick Sandmann Says He Reached a Settlement with NBC
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/12/covington-catholic-teen-nick-sandmann-says-reached-settlement-nbc/
Covington Catholic teen Nicholas Sandmann settled with NBC on Friday.
Sandmann’s lawyers filed a $800 million lawsuit against CNN, WaPo and NBC Universal after the outlets used a selectively edited video to make Nick Sandmann and his fellow Covington friends look like they harassed Nathan Phillips, a Native American who attended the Indigenous Peoples March in DC in 2019.
Sandmann filed a $275 million lawsuit against NBC-Universal and MSNBC and settled for an undisclosed amount of money.
“At this time I would like to release that NBC and I have reached a settlement. The terms are confidential.” Nick Sandmann said Friday evening in tweet.

Sandmann hit WaPo with a $250 million lawsuit.
The lawsuit against WaPo claims that the paper “vilified” the student that was seen in a viral video being confronted by far-left activist Nathan Phillips because of the fact that he is white.
Sandmann also slammed CNN with a $250 million suit – he settled with both CNN and Wapo last year.
We have settled with WAPO and CNN.

BREAKING: 6th Circuit Court Upholds Joe Biden’s OSHA Vaccine Mandate
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/12/breaking-6th-circuit-court-upholds-joe-bidens-osha-vaccine-mandate/
Challenges to Joe Biden’s OSHA vax mandate was assigned to the 6th US Circuit Court of Appeals in a ping-pong lottery after the 5th Circuit put a halt on the mandate.
In September the Biden Regime targeted the private sector and mandated all employees get jabbed or tested weekly for Covid… OR ELSE.
In addition to telling all 2.1 million federal employees to get jabbed or face firing, the Biden regime mandated all companies with 100+ employees to either test workers or prove they are vaccinated.
Small businesses that do not comply with the Biden Regime’s new Covid mandates will face hefty fines.
In a 2-1 vote, the three-judge panel allowed Joe Biden’s OSHA vaccine mandate on private employers over 100 people to take effect.
Majority (voted yes): Judges Julia Gibbons (George W. Bush), Jane Stranch (Barack Obama). Dissent (voted no): Joan Larsen (Donald Trump)
The 6th Circuit Court said OSHA has the authority to protect workers from a virus.
BREAKING: Big win for Obama admin at 6th Circuit, as panel votes, 2-1, to allow OSHA vaccine mandate on private employers over 100 ppl to take effect. Majority: Judges Julia Gibbons (GW Bush), Jane Stranch (Obama). Dissent: Joan Larsen (Trump). Doc: https://t.co/nevzv0aivM

It looks like the case is heading to the Supreme Court.
5th Circuit put OSHA private employer mandate on ice. 6th Circuit just dissolved the 5th Circuit order. Looks like this is headed straight to #SCOTUS. Guess I know how I'll be spending Christmas "break" 😉

Appeals court rules on Biden’s vaccine mandate for big businesses, setting up Supreme Court showdown
http://republicbrief.com/appeals-court-rules-on-bidens-vaccine-mandate-for-big-businesses-setting-up-supreme-court-showdown/
A federal appeals court Friday reinstated the Biden administration’s vaccine mandate for large companies, dissolving a stay by another court that had suspended the mandate and continuing up a battle that will likely be decided by the Supreme Court.
The Biden vaccine mandate forces companies with 100 employees or more to require that their workers be vaccinated against COVID-19 or submit to weekly testing.
In a 2-1 ruling, the U.S. Appeals Court for the Sixth Circuit ruled that the Biden administration could enforce the policy using the Labor Department’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
“Recognizing that the ‘old normal’ is not going to return, employers and employees have sought new models for a workplace that will protect the safety and health of employees who earn their living there,” wrote Judge ane Branstetter Stranch, a Barack Obama appointee, for the majority. “In need of guidance on how to protect their employees from COVID-19 transmission while reopening business, employers turned to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration . . . the federal agency tasked with assuring a safe and healthful workplace.”
The rule establishing the mandate had prompted a slate of legal challenges from at least 27 states as well as business and religious groups who argued the mandate is unconstitutional.
The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals Nov. 12 ordered OSHA to “take no steps to implement or enforce the Mandate until further court order,” reaffirming an earlier decision it had made. The court said the mandate exposes the petitioners “to severe financial risk” and “threatens to decimate their workforces (and business prospects).”
Walker and Wisconsin lead bid to eliminate income tax
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/washington-secrets/walker-wisconsin-lead-bid-to-eliminate-income-tax
A new campaign to eliminate the state income tax in Wisconsin began Thursday as it promised to save taxpayers about $1,700 and expand revenue by boosting Main Street businesses and attracting out-of-staters choking on high taxes.
Led by former Republican Gov. Scott Walker and anti-tax groups such as the Institute for Reforming Government and Americans for Tax Reform, the effort has national implications, especially as other states, including Texas and Georgia, are also facing calls to cut income taxes.
“I love the idea of not just lowering it, but wiping it out entirely,” Walker told Secrets. “It’s going to be a huge game-changer,” he added.
Walker said he entertained the idea as the state’s former governor. Now, armed with an authoritative blueprint from the Center for Research On the Wisconsin Economy released Thursday, he said the path is clear.
“The bottom line is that it is good for the working class. It is good for the working men and women of Wisconsin,” he said.
In his study titled “Fundamental State Tax Reform: Eliminating the Income Tax in Wisconsin,” University of Wisconsin-Madison economics professor Noah Williams said a bump in the state sales tax from 5% to 8% would help offset the revenue lost by the much larger income tax.
And, he added, killing the income tax would boost spending and investment by businesses, creating more tax revenue and attracting people to Wisconsin from high-tax states.
“I show that an average household in Wisconsin pays nearly $2,800 in income taxes, while the increased sales tax would add nearly $1,100 in taxes. Thus, the reform means a tax cut of roughly $1,700 per household. So in addition to changing the tax structure, this reform is a substantial tax cut,” said his report.
“This report shows how to cut taxes all around, but especially for middle-class families and small business owners,” said C.J. Szafir, the president of the Institute for Reforming Government. “The reform would be a game-changer for Wisconsin. More take-home pay. Higher employment. Higher GDP growth. It would be a win all around.”
Walker is a former honorary chairman of the Institute for Reforming Government.
Americans for Tax Reform President Grover Norquist added, “Doing away with the state income tax would make Wisconsin more economically competitive both nationally and globally. In addition to making Wisconsin a much more prosperous place to live and work, a repeal of the state income tax would also increase the job-creating capacity of small businesses, most of whom file under the personal income tax system.”
In an interview, Walker noted that raising the sales tax isn’t as effective in Wisconsin as in other states where the tax covers every item. Wisconsin does not tax food and drugs, for example. Also, local towns typically have a tiny piggyback sales tax, unlike in other states.
He said it could be a model for other states.
“There’s no doubt about it,” Walker said. “I would expect that there will be tremendous interest in this,” he added.
Over 80 Democratic lawmakers call for $17 billion to fight COVID-19 globally
1+7 = 8~~0~~
https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/586370-over-80-democratic-lawmakers-call-for-17-billion-to-fight-covid-19-globally
A group of over 80 Democratic lawmakers is calling for at least $17 billion in a coming government funding package to go towards helping vaccinate the world and fighting the pandemic abroad.
The lawmakers say that the U.S. needs to do more to get shots in arms around the world, as well as boost testing and treatments, saying that stopping the pandemic everywhere is the only way to end the cycle of new and more dangerous variants developing.
“Now, the world faces yet another variant, Omicron, which may be even more transmissible than the Delta variant,” states the letter, which was signed by lawmakers including Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), as well as Reps. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) and Tom Malinowski (D-N.J.). “We must end this cycle by prioritizing getting shots in arms around the world as soon as possible, especially in low- and lower-middle-income countries, which do not have the resources to vaccinate their populations.”
Many of the same lawmakers called for $34 billion in funding toward global vaccination to be included in President Biden’s Build Back Better package, but they note that the House-passed measure includes “a mere $1.3 billion.”
The Biden administration last month announced an effort to ramp up vaccine manufacturing to create a billion doses per year.
But the lawmakers said the administration needs to do more. “The pace and scale of these efforts remain out of sync with the magnitude of the threat that an unvaccinated world poses to American lives, the American economy, and America’s global leadership,” they wrote.
Advocates have been pressing the Biden administration for months to do more to help vaccinate the world, including by stepping in to share vaccine technology abroad.
The administration has pointed to the 1.2 billion doses it has committed to donating abroad.
The lawmakers write that funding is needed for the logistical effort to actually get vaccines into arms, as well as for other areas like testing and treatment.
The letter is addressed to the chairs and ranking members of the House and Senate appropriations committees, and calls for the new funding to be included in the next government spending package.
The government is currently funded through Feb. 18 following the passage of a short-term bill earlier this month, but it is possible lawmakers could just extend current funding levels again to put off the deadline further rather than passing a new funding package by that time.
“The time to act was a year ago. We cannot afford to waste another moment and risk the emergence of yet another, even more dangerous variant. It is long past time to end this pandemic," the lawmakers wrote.
Despite Having One of the Country’s Highest Vaccination Rates — New York State Sets Single-Day COVID Infection Record
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/12/despite-one-countrys-highest-vaccination-rates-new-york-state-sets-single-day-covid-infection-record/
New York state has one of the highest vaccination rates in the country. 74% of the eligible public is fully vaccinated in the state. This compares to 56% in Texas and 64% in Florida.
In New York state 81% of the eligible population has received at least one dose of the COVID vaccine.
Despite these numbers, New York state on Friday announced it had reached 21,087 COVID cases – a new daily record.
Market Watch reported:
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said Friday that the state recorded 21,027 new Covid-19 cases, surpassing the previous record of 19,942 set in January. Of roughly 263,500 people tested, 7.98% were positive for the virus…
…New York City officials said they were adding testing sites and doubling capacity at existing locations after long lines formed at some places. Health officials said the COVID-19 positivity rate in the city doubled over a three-day period through Sunday.
