Everything You Need to Know About AMD–Globalfoundries Deal

December 27, 2021

Chip firm Advanced Micro Devices Inc. agreed to acquire about $2.1 billion of silicon wafers from GlobalFoundries Inc. from 2022 through 2025.

Previously, AMD agreed to buy $1.6 billion worth of chips between 2022 and 2024.

AMD spun off its chip factory operations in 2009, leading to GlobalFoundries, and has supplied AMD since then, Reuters reports.

However, GlobalFoundries in 2018 decided to quit pursuing leading-edge chipmaking technologies.

Since then, AMD has turned to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Ltd. to supply the most critical sections of its computer processors called “chiplets.”

Even though TSM has become its primary supplier, AMD still relies on some components from GlobalFoundries to tie its chips together.

“Brain Bleeds, Heart Attacks in Younger 50-Year-Olds. No Doctor Will Admit This Is from the Vaccine. They Won’t Make the VAERS Report.” – Southern California Nurse

December 27, 2021

A report coming out of Southern California notes that nurses are beginning to speak out about COVID vaccine concerns and observations.

The Conejo Guardian reports:

Ventura County nurses from different sectors and specialties are coming forward to blow the whistle on what they deem serious lapses in local health care practices, mostly related to COVID-related protocols, “vaccine” mandates and politically and financially motivated bullying of medical staff, which these health care workers say is seriously compromising the general quality of local care.

The Guardian spoke with multiple nurses of various ages and at different stages in their careers, all of whom work in medical care settings or hospitals in Ventura County. Each preferred to speak under a pseudonym for now. Each described seriously declining standards of care, atmospheres of intimidation and fear in hospitals, and distrust and disillusionment among medical professionals.

“Before COVID, nurses, staff and the community were confident in treatment modalities and in doctors’ competencies,” says one nurse. But now, “People are confused.”

“They’re very confused,” agrees a veteran Ventura County nurse. “I think doctors are confused.… I don’t think the community’s confident. I’m not.… Because where’s the truth?”

Most shocking, perhaps, is how doctors and administrators refuse to report the rising number of unexplained medical problems in otherwise healthy people as potential adverse reactions to COVID-19 experimental vaccine shots. To suggest that these shots are the cause of any medical problem — or that they are contributing to the alarming rise in non-COVID-related hospital populations — invites professional ridicule.

The report continues:

Angela, a nurse for more than 25 years, confirms that in her hospital’s emergency room, they say they are seeing more heart problems in young adults, which are never reported to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) as potential adverse reactions to COVID “vaccinations.”

Another nurse, Jennifer, says ER nurses privately say they are seeing “all the clotting, bleeding and things you would expect from the vaccine six months later — brain bleeds, heart attacks in younger 50-year-olds. No doctor will admit this is from the vaccine. They won’t make the VAERS report.”

When Daniel asked fellow nurses and practitioners if they report to VAERS, they looked at him like, “What’s that?”

“I’ve seen people in their thirties [with these problems], and the doctor’s just like, ‘Oh, you have s—y genes,’” he says. “I’m like, are you kidding me?”

In an updated article, more nurses are speaking out:

After the Conejo Guardian’s report on alarming trends in Ventura County hospitals, more nurses have come forward to affirm the rise in unexplained heart problems, strokes and blood clotting in local vaccinated patient populations. They also say doctors refuse to consider that these could be adverse reactions to Covid shots.

Sam, a critical care nurse at an ICU in a Ventura County hospital, came forward because, “I’m tired of all the B.S. that’s going on,” he told the Guardian. “It’s crazy how nobody questions anything anymore.”

Ghislaine Maxwell jury resumes deliberations — requests office supplies

December 27, 2021

The jury in Ghislaine Maxwell’s trial resumed deliberations Monday after a four-day break for the holiday — and requested numerous office supplies and transcripts soon after they reconvened for the day.

The 12-person panel sent a note to Judge Alison Nathan around 10:30 a.m., requesting different colored Post-it notes, white board paper and highlighters.

They also asked for a transcript of testimony given by “Matt” at the trial and a definition of the word “enticement.”

In a subsequent note, the jury requested a transcript for former Palm Beach police officer Gregory Parkinson, who spoke at the trial about a 2005 search of Jeffrey Epstein’s Florida mansion.

Matt, a prosecution witness who testified using a pseudonym, told jurors he dated Maxwell accuser “Jane” years after she was allegedly abused by the disgraced socialite and Epstein.

Matt testified that Jane said Epstein was a “godfather” figure to her when she was young and that he helped her and her family out financially.

Jane, who also testified at the trial, did not detail her alleged abuse by Epstein and Maxwell to Matt but hinted at it during their relationship, he added.

“She would just say to me, ‘Matt, the money wasn’t f–king free,’” he said in his testimony on Dec. 1.

On Monday, Nathan said she would refer jurors to her jury charge that includes instructions about what to consider “enticement.”

The panel has deliberated over Maxwell’s fate for some 17 hours over the course of four days.

The jury last met on Wednesday and requested transcripts for three witnesses who testified.

The jury asked for testimony from Maxwell accusers Jane and Kate, as well as Epstein’s longtime housekeeper Juan Alessi, in a note sent at about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday.

On Tuesday — the first full day of deliberations — the panel requested a host of evidence to review while mulling over the case, including an FBI document related to a statement that a Maxwell accuser, who testified using her first name, Carolyn, made to agents in 2007.

In a second note that day, the panel asked the judge if it could consider testimony from accuser Annie Farmer as evidence of conspiracy to commit a crime involving two counts that Maxwell faces.

More than 750 U.S. flights canceled Monday after challenging holiday weekend

December 27, 2021

Cancellations and delays have spread globally as COVID-19 omicron virus sidelines airline crews and staff and bad weather added to the misery.

airlines continued to struggle with staffing issues during the busy holiday season.

Domestically, 755 flights within, into or out of the U.S. were canceled as of 8 a.m. eastern Monday, according to the tracking site FlightAware. An additional 938 flights in the U.S. were delayed.

Globally, more than 2,200 flights were canceled Monday as Christmas travelers sought to return home. Nearly 5,000 international flights were experiencing delays.

United Airlines canceled 87 flights as of 8 a.m. Monday, and American canceled 77.

The omicron variant, the dominant coronavirus variant currently infecting people in the U.S., is being blamed for much of the staffing shortages. Omicron is significantly more transmittable than earlier variants but early studies indicate its symptoms are far less severe on most individuals who contract it.

Bad weather in certain locations also is leading to cancellations.

JetBlue canceled 66 flights as of Monday morning, followed by Delta with 56 cancellations. Southwest has canceled 48 flights; Spirit, 36.

On Sunday, more than 1,500 flights within, into or out of the U.S. were canceled, while more than 3,200 were canceled globally.
