Float in Rose Parade Comes from 2022 AIDS Healthcare Foundation Entitled, “Vaccine Our World.”

The Aids Healthcare Foundation (AHF) put together a float for today’s Rose Bowl parade named “Vaccinate our world.”.
Local LA station KTLA reports:
For the 2022 parade, AHF chose to highlight its year-and-a-half-old “Vaccinate Our World” or “VOW” advocacy campaign. AHF’s “VOW” campaign aims to encourage global leaders and pharmaceutical executives—particularly in Western and developed nations—and the pharmaceutical companies in those nations to share COVID-19 vaccines and related vaccine technology TODAY with resource-poor countries and people in those countries in desperate need—and want—of those lifesaving vaccine doses. Currently, only about 8.3% of people in low-income countries have received at least one dose of a COVID vaccine while 72% of doses have gone to or been administered in wealthy countries.
AHF’s “Vaccinate Our World” float design (envisioned and executed by Fiesta Parade Floats) features a futuristic, space-aged design concept transporting paradegoers and viewers at home to a streamlined and more lighthearted future. The float showcases beautiful floral displays to raise awareness and encourage the global sharing of COVID-19 vaccines and technology with resource-poor countries around the world desperate for access to these lifesaving treatments.

Riding on AHF’s ‘Vaccinate Our World’ float will be two physicians, each an AHF Board member: William Arroyo, M.D., Chair of AHF’s Board of Directors, and Condessa Curley, M.D., Board Secretary Together, they will pilot a colorful, gently moving space capsule bringing vaccines and awareness to all in want or need with the help of an animatronic robot/nurse in a futuristic floral outer space setting.

It’s Official: California is Now a Universal Vote-by-Mail State

California’s universal vote-by-mail became permanent on Saturday after Governor Newsom used Covid as an excuse to mail out millions of ballots during the 2020 election.
Governor Gavin Newsom signed the bill into law in September and it went into effect January 1, 2022.
Under the new law, all voters will be mailed ballots for statewide and local elections.
The Los Angeles Times reported:
California’s pandemic-inspired move toward mailing a ballot to every registered, active voter will become a permanent part of the state’s political landscape, an embrace of an extended and flexible voting process instead of the traditional focus on a single day of voting in person.
Gov. Gavin Newsom’s signature Monday on Assembly Bill 37 makes California the eighth state in the nation with a law on the books requiring every voter to be mailed a ballot. The new law is part of an evolution of voting in the state over the last two decades, an effort to provide voters more options for when and where to cast their ballots.
“Data shows that sending everyone a ballot in the mail provides voters access. And when voters get ballots in the mail, they vote,” Assemblyman Marc Berman (D-Palo Alto), the bill’s author, said during a Senate committee hearing in July.
Newsom bragged about the new vote-by-mail law that makes it easier for Democrats to steal elections.

Ghislaine Maxwell’s brother says she won’t rat out for lighter sentence

Ghislaine Maxwell is a convicted sex offender and disgraced British socialite —- but she’s no rat, her brother tells The Sunday Times of London.
“Prosecution confirmed no plea bargain offers were made or received” before the trial, Ian Maxwell said. “I expect that position to be maintained.”
Maxwell, in other words, will not trade names for the prospect of a lighter sentence.
Her refusal to cooperate with prosecutors could come as a relief to alleged co-conspirators, including four women employed by Maxwell and partner in crime Jeffery Epstein, and to others linked to the tawdry couple, such as Prince Andrew, Bill Clinton, Bill Gates and Donald Trump, the report states.
Maxwell, 60, was “understandably subdued” by her conviction but “strong in spirit,” the brother said.
She faces up to 65 years in jail after being convicted this week of trafficking underaged girls as young as 14. Maxwell was described by prosecutors as a “sophisticated predator” who committed “one of the worst crimes imaginable.”
Epstein, 66, died in prison in 2019, a victim of suicide authorities say, while awaiting trial for child sex charges.
Ghislaine “is not now, nor has ever been, a suicide risk,” her brother said. “She knows there are many people, including her family of course, who love and support her and who believe in her innocence.”
Maxwell’s legal ordeal is far from over.
“She will be appealing her conviction. She is a fighter and a survivor,” Ian Maxwell sister.
The convicted madam also faces perjury charges following evidence she gave in the 2016 civil lawsuit filed by Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who has claimed she was trafficked to Prince Andrew by Epstein and Maxwell.
Maxwell spent more than 500 days in a Brooklyn detention center, much of it in solitary confinement, and could remain there another six months awaiting a sentencing hearing, the report states.
