Bob Saget’s Eerie Last Words About Death

Robert “Bob” Saget, known as “Americas Dad” from his popular roles on TV, died on Sunday alone in his hotel room at the Ritz Carlton in Orlando, Florida, while out on tour. According to the Orange County Sherriff’s office, no foul play or any drugs were involved.

The legendary star of ‘Full House’ passed away in his sleep in spite of being healthy and in great spirits, according to a well-placed source of DailyMail.com.

It was revealed by a close friend that there were no signs of a struggle, nor was there any hint that Saget suffered before he was found dead in his room in a Ritz-Carlton resort in Orlando on Sunday afternoon.

There is no indication in his family’s records that he had been suffering from underlying health conditions that might have abruptly claimed his life.

‘There was no foul play, nothing odd at all. All we have been told is that he died in his sleep,’ the source explained. ‘We are all just devastated. I talked to him Saturday afternoon. He had a great show Saturday night. He was the most generous, lovely guy. It’s just tragic.’

In a final Instagram post less than 24 hours before he was found dead, Saget told fans he was ‘loving every minute’ of being back on stage.

‘Okay, I loved tonight’s show in Jacksonville. Really nice audience. Lots of positivity. Happened last night in Orlando last night at the Hard Rock Live too. Very appreciative and fun audiences. Thanks again to @comediantimwilkins for opening.

‘I had no idea I did a two hour set tonight. I’m back in comedy like I was when I was 26. I guess I’m finding my new voice and loving every moment of it.

Before his death, Saget had speculated about the afterlife days before his own unexpected death while paying tribute to fellow departed star Betty White, a well-known actress who died just nine days prior.

Saget remembered White following her death on Dec. 31 at age 99 on Instagram that day to discuss the beloved comedy icon’s career as well as tell a story about meeting her.

Saget, who was raised Jewish, ended his sentimental post by speculating about where White is now, noting that she believed she would reunite with her husband, Allen Ludden, in the afterlife:

“She always said the love of her life was her husband, Allen Ludden, who she lost in 1981. Well, if things work out by Betty’s design— in the afterlife, they are reunited,” Saget wrote. “I don’t know what happens when we die, but if Betty says you get to be with the love of your life, then I happily defer to Betty on this,” Saget wrote.

Saget’s post seems prophetic as he died within days of White. Saget, who often contemplated the death of his loved ones, had made it his life’s mission to bring awareness to finding a cure for a disease called scleroderma, the autoimmune disease which took his sister’s life in 1985.

Fox News reported, “In addition to doing a lot of charitable work throughout the rest of his career to combat the disease, Saget turned his grief into art in the 1996 TV movie “For Hope.” Starring Dana Delaney, the story was loosely based on Gay’s struggle and helped raise awareness of the disease.

Saget’s Jewish identity was important to him.

In the forward to “Becoming Jewish”, a book about converting to Judaism, Saget wrote:

I have many fond memories of growing up Jewish. My Bube’s gefilte fish, my Bube’s chicken soup, my Bube’s mandel bread. My Bube. My father’s mother. She raised six children basically by herself. During rough financial times she would have an extra twenty people over and add breadcrumbs to whatever was being served—to feed everyone. That’s what being Jewish meant to me growing up. About being generous of heart. About our family. Yes, food was important, but it was the cultural spirit that drew me in and kept me engaged.

According to Saget’s biography, “Robert Lane Saget was an American stand-up comedian, actor, and television host. His acting roles included Danny Tanner on the sitcom Full House, its sequel Fuller House, and the voice of narrator Ted Mosby on the sitcom How I Met Your Mother.”
