but you CAN comply your way into it!
Gives the compliant types a sense of accomplishment
din know u sailed....veli must know his way around some kinda boat, was always talkin about "shore leave"
if u getcha a sailboat, u can come visit
assuming we're still part of the US of A
if it gets THAT bad, doubt i'll be here either
intuition says things will improve, somehow
people now gettin pretty riled up - and organized
still early but it's happenin
not quite as progressive as u might think, in part because there's a pioneering tradition that's still in the works...put another way, people are close to the land. Where some get snagged is on environmental issues, many are politically naive. Actually believe the drivel the UN is dishing out. Idealism is a terrible religion.
also mentioned texas, din he? Gulf Coast.
Yep.
Oregon has this phlegmatic aura in some places, very soft and impressionable. Easy to exploit. Had frens like that when i lived there in the 1970s.
there's a meme i saw about how the 'nicest' people are the ones who cooperate with nazis....Oregon is full of nice people like that. Again, not everywhere, but in the Willamette Valley around university towns and Portland. Washington's a little tougher, more labor-oriented. At least it was at one time. I used to do regional grassroots conferences, that's where i do those impressions.
Of course, Canada is full of nice people too. Look where it got them. Kek.
it was when he visited here, thought he said he was in Texas some
Washington had great Rainier beer commercials.

asked one fren, 'suppose you could meet with Atiyeh, what would u say?'
he got real thoughtful - was seeing the gov as a person not an object
