it has backed off a little but will be back and above dat soon

Looks like it hit $89.7X

Oil hits $89 as OPEC stays cagey

OPEC says one thing but they pump another, which is why U.S. oil is hovering just below $90 per barrel and Brent crude oil is even higher.

The oil world is awaiting news from the cartel and their favorite co-conspirator Russia to announce their intentions surrounding exactly just how much oil they plan to produce in the future. It is widely expected that the group will continue upon their previously agreed plan to add another 400,000 barrels a day of oil to the world market. While that seems welcome, and it is the same amount they promised last month and the month before, the problem is that despite those promises the group has failed to deliver.

Last month they only mustered 210,000 barrels a day of increased production, falling short of the 400,000 barrels a day increase by a long shot. What makes it worse is the group has failed to hit any of the promised production increase promises the last few months, leaving global markets scrambling for supply. You see, the OPEC of old was known for cheating, as many members exceeded their production targets as they tried to hoard money and gain market share. Yet now the group can't seem to hit their production targets either because of production problems or sometimes on purpose.

While some of this shortfall was caused by problems out of their control โ€“ including geopolitical *supply disruptions in Iraq, Libya and Nigeria โ€“ they are doing little to find a workaround.

*this one is such a tired excuse-been using it for years

OPEC kingpins like Vladimir Putin's Russia and Saudi Arabia have a vested interest in keeping oil prices high. They feel they can keep their market share and charge higher prices because they have less competition from the U.S. shale patch. Less competition means they have more control over prices and more incentive to restrict supply.

The market is also eyeing unrest in Ukraine as Russian forces inch closer.

SWQ3555 737 from Alexandria, LA to Harlingen, TX and now at Miami Int'l

This flight (3555) arrived at Harlingen, TX after the one from Guatemala City arrived. >>124411, >>124446

I am not on the ground at Harlingen so I cannot confirm that any passengers from the earlier flight from Guatemala City were loaded on the one currently on ground at Miami Int'l.

It has been speculated that they are arriving at Harlingen, TX and being transferred to locations inside the United States..up until this point I have not seen anything originating from South/Central America to Harlingen, TX

Until today

This is just what I have seen (time limited now so not a complete picture)

Again... Harlingen, TX to Guatemala City and back to Harlingen-with another SWQ flight arriving at Harlingen then to Miami afterwards.

pain and loads moar.

was able to get into the Dr on the way back to get the blood drawn (5 vials) cause I could not get there yesterday (streets blocked) so I don't have to wait an additional day just to do that.

Halfway through the PT I knew I was going to be in bad shape (knowing the worst comes about 24 hours after) so I just arrived at Dr to see if they would do it and they did.

IMF board approves $1 billion disbursement for Pakistan

The International Monetary Fund said its Executive Board approved a $1 billion disbursement to Pakistan on Wednesday after completing a sixth review of the country's reforms under its $6 billion loan program.

The disbursement brings Pakistan's total draw against the Extended Fund Facility program for budget support to about $3 billion. The program was initially approved in July 2019.

The IMF said the program had strengthened Pakistan's fiscal buffers before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, and a strong economic recovery has taken hold since the summer of 2020. But it warned that a widening current account deficit and currency depreciation had reinforced domestic price pressures.

Pakistan's GDP growth is expected to reach 4% this year, but its economy remains vulnerable to flare-ups of COVID-19, tighter international financial conditions, a rise in geopolitical tensions and delayed implementations of structural reforms, the IMF said.
