Poland: Pres. Duda casts vote in presidential election in Krakow
Polish President Andrzej Duda cast his ballot at a Krakow polling station on Sunday as voting got underway in Poland's presidential elections.
The election was originally set to be held May but was postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak. Duda, who is running as an independent candidate aligned with the ruling conservative Law and Justice (PiS) party, is predicted to win around 40 percent of the vote, necessitating a second round run-off scheduled for July 12.

Super Bowl flyover practice roars over Southern California
The Super Bowl flyover requires plenty precision, so pilots have been practicing this week ahead of Sunday’s big game.
Video footage from the Air Force gives a glimpse of what the flyover will look like, along with a rare look from the pilots’ perspective.
The practice run took place in the airspace over Inglewood, California, on February 9.
The Cincinnati Bengals will take on the L.A. Rams for the Super Bowl LVI title at SoFi Stadium on Sunday. In honor of the U.S. Air Force’s 75th anniversary, the NFL has enlisted the Air Force Heritage Flight Foundation to carry out this year’s flyover. The non-profit was founded in December 2010 "with the primary charitable mission of providing Heritage Flights to the public."
Five historic aircraft will participate in this year’s event: A P-51 Mustang, an A-10C Thunderbolt II, an F-16 Fighting Falcon, an F-22 Raptor, and a F-35A Lightning II.

Saudi Arabia moves $80 billion Aramco stake to wealth fund

Saudi Arabia transferred a $80 billion stake in Aramco to the kingdom’s sovereign wealth fund, boosting its assets ahead of plans to tap debt markets for the first time.
The transfer from the government will “bolster the fund’s strong financial position and high credit ratings in the medium term,” the Public Investment Fund said, adding that it “relies on the value of its assets and the returns on its assets under management for its funding strategy.”
The Aramco deal, which essentially transfers an asset from one pocket of the government to another, is the latest move taken to bolster the fund’s assets. The PIF, which got its first credit ratings this month ahead of a potential bond sale, was previously handed billions of dollars from the central bank’s reserves and received free land to develop projects.
The move also follows people familiar with the matter saying last week that the government held talks with advisers on a potential second offering of Aramco stock, which could bring in more than its initial public offering.
Aramco’s 2019 IPO–in which it sold about 2 per cent of its stock on the Riyadh bourse -- raised almost $30 billion. The money was transferred to the wealth fund and was meant to support investments to shift the biggest Arab economy away from a reliance on oil sales.

Blackstone Wins Crown Resorts as Board Accepts $6.4 Billion Bid
U.S. private equity giant Blackstone Inc. has won its almost yearlong pursuit of Crown Resorts Ltd. after the troubled Australian casino operator on Monday accepted its A$8.9 billion ($6.4 billion) takeover offer.
Under the offer, Crown shareholders will receive A$13.10 cash per share. The stock closed Friday at A$12.39. A meeting to vote on the offer is expected to be held in the second quarter of the year, Crown said in a statement Monday.
The deal ends a sorry chapter in Crown’s history after it was found unsuitable to run its Sydney casino and given two years to address a litany of wrongdoing at its flagship Melbourne casino, including facilitating money laundering and underpaying taxes. Nonetheless, if Blackstone can reform Crown and appease regulators, the prize is clear: casino monopolies in two Australian cities and a gleaming A$2.2 billion resort on Sydney’s waterfront.
The agreement to sell to Blackstone also gives Crown’s biggest shareholder, billionaire James Packer, a clean exit from a company that was once synonymous with his family name. Packer, who owns about 36% of Crown, has largely retreated from corporate life in recent years to deal with mental health issues.
Blackstone made its first approach for Crown in March last year, with an initial offer of A$11.85. That and a subsequent offer in May were rejected as two low. In July, rival Australian casino operator Star Entertainment Group Ltd. scrapped a merger proposal with Crown, while an offer from Oaktree Capital Management LP to fund the buyout of Packer’s stake also didn’t proceed.
