The more I look into what Congress has been up to and failed to be up to, the more I think that we are standing at the End of the Republic, as in Roman times, when the legislative function failed and Rome moved on to more dictatorial rulership, culminating in Caesar. Our national legislative branch and the tail-end-of-the-Republic Roman one... smh. Too similar.
