Happy Thor’s Day, QRB.

UK bred here asking your advice on how to read an anon’s post over on UK bred. Not sure if we have a stoic well-wisher, or (maybe) a helper anon giving well chosen few words of advice. Poster has only posted twice in UK bred. First time was simple enuf. Second unclear.

(Pics related)

I gather WDW means Who Dares Wins. Guessing HUD means ‘How U Doing’ but could be wrong on that too. Now “ffs” usually means one is being chided for something stupid but anon is not saying anything in particular and ends their post with an “o7” salute, so wtf.

Also, what does MD signify? Something related to “timestamp” preceding it? Was thinking US state of Maryland or

Metropolitan District (in London).

Thanks.

Re “LONDON BRIDGE”:

Don’t want slide your bred anons, so will only mention that I had recently posted a pic of the TIDE TIMES for London measured at the LONDON BRIDGE tide gauge point. (There are quite a few.)

I hadn’t posted the pic with any comment as any London pics digger understands that we were looking at Thames river tide times as a possible means to gauge the time of the “river pics” which I guess includes LISA, ROT1, ROT2 and London2847 pics.

Perhaps one of the most outstanding oddities of those pics is that there are NO BUSES seen.

Now understand that most bus services end service at midnite, but there still are a limited number of ‘night’ buses that run. Therefore, it is possible that 1) it may be after midnight and we just can’t see a night bus or 2) it is after midnight on Christmas Eve on which night ALL bus service terminated until early morning on Boxing Day 26DEC. We were trying to match the Lunar position of the Moon seen in ROT1 with an apparent high tide seen in same pic. All lunar (bearing)matches for Chrstmas occur after midnight to 4am. We got our lunar bearing from a Marine Traffic map which has a capability of running a line from one point to another and it gives you the bearing. In this case from the estimated trafcam position to the center of London Eye, 151.5 degrees.

As for the London Bridge tide gauge, I am looking for high tides around Christmas and after midnight. Too early a date toward 17DEC and it’s a full moon night. Toward Christmas and you approach a third quarter moon, not to be confused with the fraction of 3/4. Anyway. I thought our poster might have referenced the London Bridge tide gauge and saying to look at a timestamp from Maryland (EST). We would normally add 5 hours to EST to get London time. Oh well, nothing we haven’t already considered. So to say ‘ffs’ is odd. But am not being sensitive by a long shot. Anyone (frenlies) following UK thread for a long while would know that we know about time differences, and applying them, or not. That is all. Carry on frens.
