Before you read on understand that before you see Silver prices "explode to record levels" (it will NOT happen while the CME still operates the COMEX) it will have to shut down as if this were to habben while it is open it would instantly kill the financial system (via the massive derivatives positions) so at some point you'll see it's true price..it is NOT going to be via the COMEX

What is currently going on is the ability to manage the price of Ag via this reporting scheme (what is available in the COMEX and LBMA warehouses) is rapidly diminishing-it's anyone's guess what they will do when these warehouses are drained to next to nuffin becasue that is where both are headed

Short Interest in SLV has risen extensively to record highs this month (Cap#4*) shows how much the short volume ratio has increased just this month-a high short interest in an ETF is NOT going to cause a short squeeze in the underlying commodity on it's own as the "rules" are never followed here to begin with-see below however they are doing for the reason described below-namely the draining of the available metals in the warehouses. What this is showing is a record level of shorts in the SLV ETF and the funniest part of this is that in order to hedge these short position(s) the Commercial Banks all have to buy COMEX contracts and go LONG-a very RARE habbening if ever (and the VERY instrument used as a suppression tool for decades) so this is getting to a point where they need the metal and are forcing SLV down so people sell it and according to it's rules they must buy and/or sell based on the daily activity of the share movements in SLV.

It's exacerbating the movements in the spot price too and an indication that the big bois are trying to get the metal they say they have in the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) and not continue to drain the COMEX-which is still going on (cap#2) The LBMA is where the physical silver is "kept" for the holdings in SLV-in what they classify as 'Allocated Accounts' and this is specifically for that vehicle (this issue of Allocated vs. Unallocated is an entirely different topic to discuss as to what is real or not-for now we will stick to it's definition for it. Volkswagen Seeks To Raise Up To $9.4 Billion From Porsche IPO

Volkwagen is looking to raise up to $9.4 billion from its forthcoming IPO of Porsche, a new report from Bloomberg says. That would make it Europe's largest listing "in more than a decade", the report says.

The company said this weekend that, despite havoc in both European capital markets and European auto markets, it was seeking out a valuation of 70 billion to 75 billion euros for its listing, down from an 85 billion figure that was being tossed around prior.

As the report notes, other forthcoming IPOs - like Intel's planned IPO for Mobileye - have also scaled back expectations due to market volatility.

However, for Porsche, Qatar Investment Authority, Norway’s sovereign wealth fund, T. Rowe Price and ADQ have all signed on to subscribe to preferred shares totaling as much as 3.7 billion euros.

VW’s Chief Financial Officer Arno Antlitz told Bloomberg: “We are now in the home stretch with the IPO plans for Porsche and welcome the commitment of our cornerstone investors.” VW has been pitching the investment opportunity as a way to combine the best of companies like Ferrari and Louis Vuitton.

The valuation puts Porsche at 10.2x EBITDA, the report says, well below Ferrari's valuation of 23.1x EBITDA Porsche's target for the year is for 39 billion euros in revenue. The IPO will also hand over decision-making to the Porsche-Piech family, who lost control of the company more than 10 years ago during a battle with VW, the report says.

Investors are going to be allowed to subscribe to 25% of Porsche preferred shares, which have no voting rights. The Porsche-Piech family will buy 25%+ of the company's common shares with voting rights and has agreed to pay a 7.5% premium on top of the price range.

Despite the spin-off, however, some have raised questions about its future independence, since Oliver Blume, Porsche’s chief executive, is being appointed to head VW.

Opposition parties are criticizing the ruling Liberal Democratic Party for excluding parliamentary chiefs from its recent survey on ties between its member lawmakers and the controversial Unification Church religious group.

The exclusion of Hiroyuki Hosoda, speaker of the House of Representatives, and Hidehisa Otsuji, president of the House of Councilors, was because the two are not lawmakers belonging to the LDP, according to the party.

But both Hosoda and Otsuji hold LDP membership. Hosoda has been found to have attended a meeting related to the Unification Church, now called the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification. The chiefs of both chambers customarily leave their parliamentary caucuses when they assume the posts because they are required to be neutral. But sources related to the LDP said that Hosoda and Otsuji hold membership of the party. Hosoda, who has been elected from a constituency in Shimane Prefecture, is on the list of LDP lawmakers posted on the website of the party's Shimane prefectural chapter. According to the party, subject to the survey were lawmakers who met two conditions — having LDP membership and belonging to the LDP parliamentary caucuses.

Kenta Izumi, leader of the main opposition Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan, said Friday that the exclusion of Hosoda is unacceptable, urging the Lower House speaker to check his ties with the Unification Church by himself and announce the result. Pointing out that Hosoda is counted when the amount of political subsidies for the LDP is calculated, Japanese Communist Party executive Akira Koike said that it was inappropriate for the party not to include Hosoda in the survey.

Americans Drowning In Long-Term Credit Card Debt: Survey

According to an Aug. 30 report from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, credit card balances increased by $46 billion from last year, becoming the second-biggest source of overall debt last quarter. While both student and car loans hit all time new highs at the end of the 1st quarter. And so it comes as no surprise from Bloomberg that more US consumers are saddled with credit card debt for longer periods of time. According to a survey by CreditCards.com released on Monday, 60% of credit card debtors have been holding this type of debt for at least a year, up 50% from a year ago, while those holding debt for over two years is up 40%, from 32%, according to the online credit card marketplace. And while total credit-card balances remain slightly lower than pre-pandemic levels, inflation and rising interest rates are taking a toll on the already-stretched finances of US households. About a quarter of respondents said day-to-day expenses are the primary reason why they carry a balance. Almost half cite an emergency or unexpected expense, including medical bills and home or car repair.

The Federal Reserve is likely to raise interest rates for the fifth time this year next week. Credit-card rates are typically directly tied to the Fed Funds rate, and their increase along with a softening economy may lead to higher delinquencies. Total consumer debt rose $23.8 billion in July to a record $4.64 trillion, according to data from the Federal Reserve. -Bloomberg

Elon Musk Will Sit for Deposition in Twitter Case Next Week

Elon Musk is scheduled to answer questions on Sept. 26 and 27 from Twitter Inc.’s lawyers on his failed $44 billion purchase of the company, according to a court filing. The deposition, which will take place behind closed doors at a law office in Wilmington, Delaware, may be extended into a third day if needed.

Musk’s attorney, Alex Spiro, will have to sit for his own deposition on Sept. 25, according to a separate filing. Spiro may not have much to say in the pre-trial questioning, said Larry Hamermesh, a University of Pennsylvania law professor who specializes in corporate disputes. “It’s very odd to have the lead litigator have to give a deposition in this M&A cases,” Hamermesh said in an interview Tuesday. “Legal privilege excludes him from talking about any aspect of the case, so it’s puzzling what topics they think they can explore with him.”

Swiss Imports of Russian Gold Climb to Highest Since April 2020

Switzerland’s imports of Russian gold surged to the highest in more than two years, a sign that more old bullion from the country may be being remelted to make it easier to sell.

About 5.7 tons worth $324 million of Russian metal was imported by the refining hub in August, according to data from the Swiss Federal Customs Administration. That’s the most since April 2020.

The shipment was Russian metal that arrived from the UK, the customs administration said in a statement on Tuesday. Swiss customs data show the last place the precious metal was refined, rather than where it was last shipped from.

Russia’s gold has become taboo since the country invaded Ukraine earlier in the year. New Russian gold has been sanctioned by the US, EU and Switzerland, but bars exported from the country before Aug 4. are not subject to the import ban, the customs authority said Tuesday. Some investors with old Russian gold bars may wish to remelt them at Swiss refineries to make them easier to sell. Though the country’s bullion minted before the war can still be traded in most major centers, including London and Zurich, there’s a stigma around it. Russia the world’s second-biggest gold miner globally was previously a major supplier of new bullion to the UK market.

China is still importing Russian gold, though the quantities remain relatively low. The country bought 0.3 tons of the precious metal from Russia in August, a small fraction of its total monthly imports of 182 tons.

Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley Have Mysteriously Disappeared from this Week’s Senate and House Banking Hearings

There are eight Global Systemically Important Banks (G-SIBS) in the U.S. They are: JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup, Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, Bank of New York Mellon, Morgan Stanley, State Street and Wells Fargo. These are the banks that pose the greatest risk to the stability of the U.S. financial system and are monitored under the Federal Reserve’s stress tests.

Five of those eight banks pose the greatest risk to financial stability because together they hold $200.18 trillion (yes trillion) in notional derivatives (face amount) or 86 percent of all derivatives held by all of the nation’s banks, according to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency – the federal regulator of national banks. Those banks are: JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and Bank of America.

In any Senate Banking or House Financial Services Committee hearing that is going to probe if these mega banks could blow up the U.S. financial system again — as they did in 2008 – these five banks have to be at the table for the hearing to be credible. But for some reason – which fails to pass the smell test from every angle – Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley have gone missing from the witness table at both the hearing on Wednesday at the House Financial Services Committee and at the hearing on Thursday at the Senate Banking Committee. The CEOs of the other banks will be present to be grilled on their most recent crimes.

Adding to the fishy smell, both banks were included at last year’s large bank hearings by the same Committees. This year, instead of Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, new additions to the witness panel have popped up out of the blue. The CEOs of PNC, U.S. Bank and Truist have been added to the witness panel at both the Senate and House hearings, despite the fact that none of these banks have been designated Global Systemically Important Banks; rank anywhere near Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley when it comes to derivative exposure; or played any key role in blowing up the U.S. financial system in 2008.

Very High COMEX December contract activity Friday 0916 and Monday 0919

As previously mentioned there is some serious shit that is coming for December in Silver- Friday there was 58,154 contracts 'traded' on just that month expiry-cap #1 (that equates to 290,770,000 ozs @ 5k ozs per contract) and yesterday (monday Sept 19th) there was 44,265 contracts which is 221,825,000 ozs-in two days for December-a total of 512,595,000 or just under half the annual production rate in two days.

EFP Process

Friday also saw 1,200 contracts paid off under the EFP process-*An exchange for physical trade (EFP) is a privately negotiated and simultaneous exchange of a futures position for a cash position and Monday saw 150 of those done. This is a pay-off of a contract holder by a private third-party to exit contracts for cash as the definition denotes-contrary to several YT channels it is NOT a physical delivery mechanism-do you really think that they would show that or allow ANY of it to be traced after they've manipulated it for about 200 years at this point?

The OCC changed the derivatives classifications for Gold and moved in back to Precious Metals (it had been in the FOREX category prior) and announced that 2 years before they did it for a reason-to obfuscate what is being delivered and done with those short-term BofA and JP Morgan leases so ain't NFW they would show you any physical conversions via a daily reporting process-the people who say this obviously don't read what it actually is-see above as the definition for EFP is provided*...it's a payoff plain and simple.

BoJ announces unscheduled bond buying operation

The Bank of Japan has announced an unscheduled bond-buying operation to Buy ¥150B Of 5-10-year JGB's And ¥100B Of 10-25-year JGB's.

Unlike its peers, the BoJ is determined to keep borrowing costs low to support the economy. Under the yield curve control, the central bank guides the 10-year yield around 0% and allows it to move 25 basis points on either side of zero. The bank has been offering to buy unlimited amounts of 10-year bonds to keep the yield below the target every day since April while other central banks tighten their policy to contain inflation. The yen continues to remain weak as a consequence and is under pressure on the news in Tokyo, trading near 143.80 vs. the greenback.

Basically is breaks down to this: all the "lines in the sand" are being breached on most Japanese Bond issues (rate-wise) and the 30 year is actually over it now @ 1.335%-so they just told everyone that they will stop at nothing to keep rates low by shifting to all portions of it's curve-and that should have sent the Yen tumbling (higher against the $) but did not...yet

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrived in New York on Wednesday to take part in the 77th session of the UN General Assembly.
