Random ginger related trivia. Ginger being a predominately irish trait, with limited historical variations from western china regions, have an interesting origin story. A beautiful people called the Tauth de Dunann who tried settling Ireland as we know it four seperate time. Described as a fire haired group of demi gods from the otherworld/underworld/sidhe. The first time they tried, while escaping destruction by flooding, had only three men for hundreds of women, all wanting children. They died after them men died. Two by accident, and one by suicide from women demands. The second faired better, but subcame to madness. Third third time, they were destroyed by another group of bestial man/giants described as gut wrenchingly ugly called the fomorian who came from a land of ice. The last time the Tauth de Dunann won their fight with the fomorians, who then shared the land with them. After generations of cross breeding between the two groups, you now have the red-haired irish.

Tauth de Dunann stories are both plentiful, yet not well known. The first settling attempt has made references to noah's ark as people who were not allowed on board, so tried to survive anyway they could.
