Christians direct their prayer to whoever they are thinking and believing and conceiving of in their minds as they pray. There is no such thing as magic words, especially if the person saying the word does not have any such meaning in mind.

When I thank God, I am mentally identifying God as the Creator of the Universe and everything in it, the Father of Jesus the Christ. So if I say a word at the end of my prayer, to me that word means "So be it" and it is directed ONLY to the God whom I hold in mind while praying.
