Hmmm.....wouldn't normally bring this up here, but I'm kind of an expert on tarot. Don't see that much here. Yes, the Fool is the protagonist of the story, espec. the hero's journey. And yes, he occurs at the start of the story. But the whole point of tarot as a journey is that you can map any archetypal journey onto it. So if you were gonna do that, you really have do fill into all of the characters, not just some. First step is to precisely identify the quest (and "good vs evil" is way too broad). Only then can you fill in the cast of characters and archetypal forces at work. Not a trivial undertaking. Could be explored in one of these long breds, although I'm a little too sleep-deprived to delve into jungian archetypes this afternoon.
The other thing you brought up is that tarot is not popular with Bible-fags--along with many other esoteric topics. That's just the way it is in the West. We don't have the depth of esoteric and mystical experience that exists in the East. Not easy to get across the understanding that tools like the tarot is a neutral tool which can be used for good or ill (it's not inherently evil).
