Doctors and cops among 277 arrested in human trafficking, online prostitution sting in Florida
POLK COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – A week-long undercover sting targeting human trafficking and online prostitution in Polk County ended with 277 arrests that included doctors, pharmacists and law enforcement officers.
“That’s the most we have ever arrested in the history of the sheriff’s office,” Sheriff Grady Judd said.
“Operation No Tricks, No Treats” started last Tuesday, October 10 and ran through Monday, October 16. During that time, undercover detectives posted fake ads or profiles online posing as prostitutes or someone who solicits prostitutes. Other detectives responded to profiles and ads posted by prostitutes.
According to the sheriff’s office, 51 of the arrests were related to those who advertise as prostitutes online and 209 of the arrests were those who solicited undercover detectives posing as prostitutes. Seventeen arrests were made for other offenses.
Sheriff Judd identified some of the suspects arrested in the undercover operation as doctors and pharmacists, former and current law enforcement officers, a lawyer, two men who traveled to have sex with minors and two sex offenders.
These are some of the men arrested that the sheriff identified:
Cancer surgeon at Tampa General Hospital
Pediatrician at Health Care Alliance in Wesley Chapel
Teacher from Lake Academy
Active Colonel in the US Marine Corps
Air Force veteran
Retired Broward County deputy sheriff
Retired police officer from Birmingham, Alabama
The sheriff’s office even caught one of their own. Former Sergeant Luis Diaz resigned from the force after 17 years.

“We are absolutely embarrassed,” Sheriff Judd said. “We hold our own accountable. He messed up and no longer works for the Sherriff’s Office.”
Investigators say 215 suspects drove to Polk County from locations throughout Florida. Some were in the state visiting from Alabama, California, Delaware, Georgia, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.
“Welcome to Polk County,” Judd said to them during his news conference.
Polk County detectives worked with detectives and investigators from Haines City police, Lakeland police, Lakes Wales police and Winter Haven police.
“We are committed to fighting human trafficking by arresting those who engage in prostitution and trying to identify human trafficking victims,” Sheriff Judd said in an earlier news release. “It’s no secret…you need to stay out of Polk County if you’re going to commit crime.”Those arrested for soliciting a prostitute were:

wrong pic (he china billionaire just arrested)
China ~~Billionaire~~ Pedophile Arrested for Child Molestation
China’s official Communist Party newspaper has revealed that one of two previously unidentified suspects allegedly involved in a molestation case is billionaire Wang Zhenhua.
Wang recently stepped down as chairman of Seazen Holdings, one of China’s foremost real estate developers, “for personal reasons.” This announcement immediately followed news that Wang and another suspect identified only as “Zhou” had been arrested for their alleged involvement in the molestation of an underage girl in a Shanghai hotel.
The victims’s mother claims that Zhou transported her daughter on June 30 from Jiangsu province to Shanghai, where she was sexually assaulted. Zhou surrendered to the police on July 2, a day after the Wang investigation was announced.
Future Land, founded by Wang in 1996, responded with this statement:
According to the notification from [Shanghai police], the arrest of Mr Wang Zhenhua, the controlling shareholder of the company, was approved on July 10, 2019 for an alleged crime. Mr. Wang currently does not hold any position in the company. The operations of the company remain normal.
Seazen Holdings, a subsidiary of Future Land, has released its own response. “We, just like the public, believe that minors are the future,” it said. “Anything that harms a minor is a severe offense. Seazen absolutely supports and agrees with the authorities in handling this case.”
The sentiment may be a hollow one, however. After his departure, the company has allowed Wang’s son Xiaosong to take his place as chairman. The companies have already lost billions on the Shanghai and Hong Kong stock markets following the disturbing allegations.
Child molestation in China carries a maximum penalty of only five years, though the sentence can be extended with further charges. A statement by China police asserted that they “adopt a ‘zero tolerance’ attitude toward crimes against minors and will severely crack down on such crimes in accordance with law.”

Family group among eight Iranian Christians arrested in morning raids
Eight Iranian converts to Christianity, including five from one family, were arrested at their homes in a coordinated operation carried out by Ministry of Intelligence agents on 1 July.
The officials swooped at about 9 a.m. in the south-west city of Bushehr and seized Bibles and other Scriptures, laptops, phones and identity and bank cards. Agents also searched the workplaces of at least two of the Christians and took away computer hard drives and security camera footage.
ources named the five family members arrested as Sam Khosravi, 36, Maryam Falahi, 35, Sasan Khosravi, 35, Marjan Falahi, 33, and Khatoon Fatolahzadeh, 61. The other Christians were named as Pooriya Peyma, 27, Fatemeh Talebi, 27, and Habib Heydari, 38.
Khatoon Fatolahzadeh, arrested after agents in six cars came to her house, was released the same day because of her age. The rest are being held in solitary confinement and without access to lawyers at the Ministry of Intelligence office in Bushehr.
Two months ago, on 9 May, Iranian agents shut down a 100-year-old Assyrian church in Tabriz, north-west Iran, and tore down its cross.
