It's impossible that the air space over Saudi Arabia is empty with all that's happening right now. The only thing we can see is an Algerian AF Airbus flying E passing S of Crete.

Unknown. We seldom see planes over that part of the world. Apparently there are none or few of the crowd-sourced receivers. I have seen a couple Saudi planes at a time, an Israeli, then French or US mil over the eastern Med, you see Greek AF over Greece occasionally. Planes are dense over Germany, France, UK.

Anons were speculating it was an old copper mine. Apparently there was copper mining on some of the nearby islands. Same geology, so why not here. Copper ores are mostly blue and green.
