In the 1950's women stayed home while men got out the door and earned the living for all in in household. And feminism hoped to improve on that?

When I was a machinist, could read EBDIC from the tape. Part program was on paper, master program was on foil.
It's been fun. Taught business apps back before Quattro turned Pro and while Alpha 4 still stood a chance. Had 8 different versions / makes of DOS in the room and knew which one was on a computer by the error messages. ;-) Fun days.
If she can get past the dialtone ... I'm in love!
Sorry about that. But MY Dad worked in all kinds of weather for the railroad and, despite being a falling down drunk much of the time, brought (most of) it back through the door.
There weren't "that many" women who got dumped. Divorces were not the hot ticket then like they are now because men weren't as easily replaceable with a government check so women tried harder to keep their marriages intact. So don't preach that new wave feminist shit, either.
Once she learned how to drive, my Mom got out and worked in the factory, too, making aftermarket Thrush oil and air filters because Dad got scraped off a fucking boxcar and couldn't go to work for a couple years (broke 6 ribs, collapsed one lung and punctured the other). I delivered daily newspapers before AND after school and eventually worked up the route to where I was making more than he had been but I was delivering 500 papers a day and the Wednesday weekly, too. Families did that ... and Dad kept getting drunk because, well, he was a drunk.
So shitcan that whiney shit. Mom did ironing and we grew a big garden in our small yard and, somehow, got by.
With the situation there at present, I'd be surprised if much of anything showed up on ADSB.
When shit happens, it'll show up here first. Until then ... dig on.
Not really excited. It's just one more data point. But let me know if you see ICBMs with ADSB turned on headed this way, I'd like to give my wife one more kiss. ;-)
I owe BLM nothing more than ordinary courtesy. If they get that and give it, we're even.
Maybe time for me to learn to bake. QR was too damned fast (hat tip to those who rode that pony!) and I am too damned ornery to put up with the level of shit the honest bakers had to put up with.
But maybe here, with its marathon breads, I could at least "spell" other bakers so they could take a pee or get a meal or even wander out into the living room to see who those kids are. ;-]
But, for now, I've been up way too late again already. Bonus nachos!
I like the way it is now. QR enforced a narrow focus and that was good mental discipline, but I think I'll be able to get more accomplished over here. I want Q to stay over there with the "Hi Q!" mob. I can pop over there to check the Q posts and notables, then pop back over here and see if there is anything interesting I want to dig into.
You win.
