Reposting for more eyes, and hopefully some feedback.

Looking at similar styles, hindu gods bear a stricking resemblance, especially now that I can see the right hand making a gesture most hindu gods make. Looking over various statues, I found Parvati very close to eggman's statue. Wikipedia annotates thusly "Parvati, Uma or Gauri is the Hindu goddess of fertility, love, beauty, marriage, children, and devotion; as well as of divine strength and power. Known by many other names, she is the gentle and nurturing aspect of the Supreme Hindu goddess Adi Parashakti and one of the central deities of the Goddess-oriented Shakta sect. She is the Mother goddess in Hinduism, and has many attributes and aspects. Each of her aspects is expressed with a different name, giving her over 100 names in regional Hindu stories of India. Along with Lakshmi and Saraswati, she forms the trinity of Hindu goddesses". Parvati is also the consort of Shiva, destroyer god and symbol or CERN.

Of note on India, they have the oldest myth stories of any culture I am aware of in a mostly intact form called the Maharabata. A number of events annotated in it cross reference sumerian history close enough to be confidant in their documenting the same events. As a bonus, one of the Manhattan Project's leads quoted the Maharabata about the atomic blast.

My thinking on the symbolism is of any who go against Parvati will have Shiva bring his wrath upon the offender seems reasonable. Parvati who gives life to blackmail and protected by a vicious man.
