Exclusive: ZOA Applauds Trump Condemning Anti-American, Antisemitic, Israel-phobic Members of Congress

President Donald Trump could have expressed his deep concerns about extremist anti-American, antisemitic, Israel-phobic Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) in a more appropriate way by using a less controversial phrase. Still, we understand his frustrations with these extremists that led to his using an inappropriate phrase.
The vicious attacks on President Trump this week, including the Democrats’ party-line House resolution condemning the president’s calling out of these haters, are an intentional distraction from the real problem, which the House of Representatives still refuses to properly address: the repeated, appalling, antisemitic, Israel-phobic, bigoted, hateful, anti-American statements and actions of these rookie members of Congress.
President Trump is understandably and appropriately disgusted with thems. I am, too. President Trump’s comments had nothing to do with those members’ gender or skin color. He would undoubtedly have strongly condemned white male Congress members if they had repeatedly made such ugly comments against America and its closest ally, the Jewish State of Israel, and the Jewish people.
As Congresswoman Liz Cheney (R-WY) summed it up, “our opposition to our socialist colleagues has absolutely nothing to do with their gender, with their religion or with their race; it has to do with the content of their policies. . . . They’re wrong when they espouse and enable, and their leadership refuses to condemn, vile anti-Semitism. They’re wrong when they rush to blame America first, when they fail to recognize that this is the greatest nation that has ever existed, the exceptional nation.”
In a rational world, vicious America-hating and Jew-hating members of Congress would be booted out of Congress, or at the very least, be removed from their powerful committee posts. These haters would be soundly condemned by the House of Representatives, and by all decent people.
And in a rational world, President Donald Trump would be praised to the skies for calling out those hate-filled Congress members, after a cowardly House of Representatives refused to do so. The president would also be sincerely appreciated for his tremendous achievements, for making Americans safer and more prosperous, and for keeping his promises to treat our ally Israel as the valuable ally that she is, instead of like a second-class citizen, as the previous administration did.
But we are living in an upside down world, in which vicious haters go scot-free and our courageous president, who calls out the haters, is falsely condemned as a “racist.”
Let’s look at the facts.

Betcha’ Didn’t Know: Firearm Homicides Plummeted over Last 25 Years

Despite endless gun violence reports put forward by the establishment media, the dirty little secret is firearm homicides have plummeted over the past 25 years.
Washington Post analysis shows Democrats, followed closely by independents, are more apt to believe firearm murders have increased. And this feeds the Democrat psyche which is already more prone to support an expansion of gun control laws
But the reality is that the high water mark for firearm murders was 1994 while 2017, the most recent year with complete data on incidents, shows a sharp drop. There were “16,136 [firearm murders] in 1994” but only “10,982” in 2017.
And if looked at in terms of the murder rate, instead of simply the raw murder numbers, the drop in firearm homicides is even more evident.
For example, the FBI calculated “6.2 firearm murders per 100,000 people” in 1994, while the murder rate in 2017 was 3.38. And the murder rate was even lower than 3.38 in 2014.
An interesting correlation with the drop in firearm murders is the incredible expansion of private firearm ownership. In other words, the number of privately-owned firearms was increasing at the same time that the number of firearm murders was plummeting.
On December 4, 2013, Breitbart News reported a Congressional Research Service study showing “gun ownership climbed from 192 million firearms in 1994 to 310 million firearms in 2009.” At the same time, the “firearm-related murder and non-negligent homicide” rate was cut in half over a roughly 17-year time period.

Trump: ‘I Don’t Believe’ the ‘Squad’ Are ‘Capable of Loving Our Country’

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and the other three freshmen members of the so-called “Squad” have had their love of America called into question by Donald Trump.
The president took to Twitter on Sunday morning to query their loyalty, saying they should apologize to the U.S. as well as Israel for their confrontational behaviour, adding America will not be destroyed by their invective.
The so-called “Squad” comprise Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) and are members of a group called the “Justice Democrats.”
They have consistently opposed Trump at every turn and expressed socialist and leftwing ideology while claiming to take on the mantle of the civil rights movement.
All four were elected to the House of Representatives in last November’s mid-term elections.

Smollett: On second thought, it was all those two brothers’ fault

Perhaps the Chicago Way isn’t quite as impenetrable any more as it’s seemed over the past century or so. Once State Attorney Kim Foxx and her friends managed to make Jussie Smollett’s problems go away for him and seal all the records, that looked like the end of the story. But since that time, a new judge has ordered the appointment of a special prosecutor to look into the case and, if justified, bring new charges against Smollett. Given the amount of national attention focused on the case, it began to appear as if there was a certain level of embarrassment that even Chicago couldn’t tolerate.
But don’t count Smollett out just yet. His attorneys were back in court this week, “respectfully requesting” that the order to appoint a special prosecutor be vacated and, failing that, no new charges against their client be allowed. (Daily Wire)
Former “Empire” star Jussie Smollett filed a motion Friday requesting that the court nullify an order last month assigning a special prosecutor to look into the handling of his case after its sudden dismissal by embattled State’s Attorney Kim Foxx.
“Jussie Smollett, by his attorneys, Geragos & Geragos, respectfully requests that this Court grant his Motion, vacate the June 21, 2019 Order, and deny the Petition to Appoint a Special Prosecutor,” reads the filing submitted by his attorneys, Mark Geragos and Tina Glandian, as reported by Deadline Friday…
In another passage of the filing highlighted by Deadline, Smollett’s lawyers state that if their request to drop the prosecutor altogether is denied, they want the scope of the investigation to be narrowed.
In the second section of the filing, Smollett’s attorneys ask that “the Court modify the June 21, 2019 Order to clarify that the special prosecutor may investigate and prosecute potential misconduct only, and may not further prosecute Mr. Smollett for the charges that were previously brought and dismissed against him.”
Translating that from lawyer-speak to English, Smollett’s legal team is first asking that Judge Michael Toomin be overruled and that no new investigation into either Smollett and Kim Foxx dredge up all this unpleasantness again. But if they can’t agree to drop it entirely, they would like assurances in advance that Foxx and her office will take the fall entirely and nobody will come around pestering Smollett for faking the “hate crime” that started this entire mess in the first place.
Just to add a bit more sauce for the goose, Smollett’s attorneys are once again laying the entire blame for the incident on Ola and Abel Osundairo, the two Nigerian brothers who staged the “attack” as well as offering the possibility of a third, as yet unknown conspirator who may have helped them.
You almost have to give Smollett and his legal team credit for some unmitigated gall. The new investigation isn’t even up and running yet and they’re trying to either shut it down or force the court to give them assurances in advance that the actor won’t be charged. Does Smollett really think he has that kind of pull? I’d assumed that they would try claiming some sort of double jeopardy situation leaving the state without any new charges to bring. But asking for a complete Stay Out of Jail Free card before the ball even gets rolling takes some serious chutzpah.

VA Democrats call for Jamestown celebration boycott if Trump attends

On July 30, a celebration will be held to commemorate the 400th anniversary of representative democracy in America at Jamestown, Virginia. Many distinguished guests were invited to attend by Governor Northam, Virginia House Speaker Kirk Cox, and Virginia Senate Majority Leader Tommy Norment. Friday night, Virginia Democrats issued a statement – if President Trump attends, they will boycott the event. Their message is “Send Him Back.”
The drama at this late date is all about capitalizing on the Trump versus the Squad kerfuffle. Virginia House Democrats issued their ultimatum. If President Trump accepts the invitation to attend and speak at the celebration, they won’t be there. This looks like a preemptive strike by the Virginia Democrats, though, because it is unclear if President Trump is even planning to attend the event. Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who was also invited, has declined to attend. The group in charge of organizing the celebration, American Evolution, notified both Pelosi and Trump Saturday of the Democrats’ statement. While Pelosi declined, President Trump has not announced his decision, according to the organizers.
The event had been planned as part of “American Evolution,” a series of events at Jamestown, the site of the first permanent English colony, to celebrate key events in American and Virginia history that took place in 1619, according to the event’s website. A July 30 gathering had planned to commemorate the first legislative meeting and would feature members of Congress, the Virginia legislature and other state legislatures.
It should be noted that the Virginia House has a Republican majority, as does the Virginia Senate. Governor Northam is a Democrat. Hey, remember that time some embarrassing photographs of Ralph Northam surfaced from back in his college days and he was in blackface for a frat party? I’m old enough to remember that and yet there he is – still the Governor of Virginia. Democrats united behind him as though it was no big deal. They moved on in order to keep Virginia in the hands of the Democrats. (You may also remember that Virginia’s Lt. Gov. has some real problems, too, but he’s still there.)
The Virginia Democrats who were fine with Northam’s past involvement with partying in blackface now are virtue-shaming President Trump. Maybe the Democrats think that racism comes in varying degrees. Apparently, it is a bridge too far for the Democrats in Virginia that President Trump spoke up and criticized congresswomen who so strongly bashed his administration’s immigration policies and the Border Patrol agents doing their jobs. Trump punches back. This is not breaking news.
On the chance that President Trump does agree to attend the event in Jamestown, the Democrat leadership in the House issued a statement and posted it on Twitter Friday night.

On this weekend’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday,” White House adviser Stephen Miller defended President Donald Trump’s tweets directed at “The Squad,” Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI).
Miller said, “Let me just cut to the heart of the issue. These four congresswomen detest America as it exists, as it is currently constructed. They want to tear down the structure of our country. They want us to be a socialist, open borders country. If you, as Donald Trump says, want to destroy America with open borders, you cannot see you love your country. If you attack border agents the way Ocasio-Cortez has it means you have a deep-seated hatred of the nation as it exists. That’s why you want to erase its borders, fundamentally transform the country and in the process it doesn’t matter if American citizens lose their jobs, lose their homes, lose their livelihoods, lose their health coverage and lose their very lives.”
He added, “There’s a gigantic, enormous distinction between Donald Trump saying I’m going to get on the world stage and put America first in every single thing we do versus a view that says America should never come first and American citizens should never come first, which is their view, and that’s what we are going to take to the ballot box.”

Pirro criticized the four for their left-wing agenda and explained how they villainize opponents, including Trump by “weaponizing” hate.
“[L]et me tell you about ‘The Squad’: a benign-sounding high school term that in reality, presents a dangerous assault on everything we hold dear,” she said. “These four freshman congresswomen: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley are radical socialists who want to punish success and destroy capitalism. House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler and his staff (two hired from Lawfare) have been coordinating with the aligned DOJ/FBI special counsel group for several months for the upcoming appearance of Robert Mueller on Wednesday of this upcoming week.
The objective of the group’s coordinated plan has been to present a hearing that supports the original goal of the ‘small group’ effort, impeachment. Toward that goal Mueller has been working closely with Nadler’s staff who are coordinating Mueller’s appearance.
In this interview Nadler outlines the objective of Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff and himself to frame the Mueller testimony. However, it also appears that Nadler is generally blind to the amount of information in the public sphere which highlights the known illicit motives and foundation of the Weissmann and Mueller team.

Democrat candidate Elizabeth McCarthy, 50, withdrew from the race for House District 28 after her claimed treatment of Pulse nightclub victims and credentials as a medical doctor were called into question.
Previously McCarthy claimed she was treating victims from the attack, saying: “I personally removed 77 bullets from 32 people. It was like an assembly line.” The candidate now admits she made the entire story up, including her claim to be a doctor.
(Via Daily Mail) – A queer Democratic politician who claimed to have treated Pulse nightclub shooting victims admitted to Florida officials that she lied about her service.
Elizabeth McCarthy told the Florida Department of Health that she had fabricated claims that she was a cardiologist who had treated victims of the mass shooting on the LGBT destination.
‘I lied. It is a false statement. I just made it up,’ McCarthy said, according to an affidavit released Wednesday by the Florida Department of Health and obtained by Florida Politics.
The department charged her with violating state law under the unlicensed activity statutes. (read more)

Stephen Miller: Criticism Is OK, Turning America Into Venezuela Isn’t
White House senior adviser and speechwriter Stephen Miller told Fox News Sunday that left-wing Democrats were not merely criticizing the U.S. to improve it, but rather hoping to turn it into a socialist country like Venezuela.
Miller appeared Sunday with host Chris Wallace to defend President Donald Trump in the ongoing controversy about his tweets about the Democrats’ so-called “Squad” — Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rashida Tlaib (R-MI), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA). Wallace asked Miller whether there was any distinction between what the “Squad” had said about America, and criticisms that President Trump had made in the past:
Wallace: Why is what those congresswomen have said in general any worse than what you just heard Donald Trump say — President Obama is ignorant, this country is ‘killers,’ on and on?
Miller: It’s a great question. So I want to drill down on it because it’s really the heart of the debate that we are having in this country right now. Anybody who is running for office — right, left, or center, — always point out where they think America can do better, where America needs to go but there’s a fundamental distinction between people who think that we need to lean into and strengthen America’s core values — whether it be our constitutional values, the rule of law, the principles of western civilization — or people who think that we basically need to turn America into Venezuela.
Miller later added: “The president ran a campaign that can be summarized in two words: ‘America first.’ There’s a huge difference between ‘America first’ and an ideology that runs down America.”
Several members of the Squad have weighed in to oppose the Trump administration’s policy of pressure and sanctions on Venezuela, but Rep. Omar has been most vocal as a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
While supporting sanctions on Israel through the “boycott, divestment, sanctions” (BDS) movement, Omar has opposed sanctions on Venezuela and blamed sanctions, not socialism, for the implosion of the Venezuelan economy.
Ocasio-Cortez, appearing with the “Squad” on CBS this week, described the “story” of America as a perpetual struggle of the many against the few:
