We are NOT "of one mind". We are not even all of one purpose. Do you think there is a consensus on what victory looks like? If we can't agree on the goal, we can't possibly be of one mind on how to accomplish it.
Do you want good to vanquish evil? So do I. So does our opposition. Our principle dispute, then, is in how we define evil and what we view as good.
At every turn, we find that our opposition is bigger, better resourced and better organized than we imagined. We thus find ourselves trying to fight an opponent we can't comprehend to solve a problem we can't define.
If we EVER get to the point where we are all of one mind, we lose.
Yes, it is true ... we are playing 5D chess on a galactic and timeless chessboard.
But so is our opposition.
