Catching up after a hard night of drinking last night lol... Sad I missed the drone convo BUT I have a few late-as-fuq inputs to the legal stuff. I have considered trying to do a huge area mapping thing and renting access to people in my area... Kinda like Google earth but county wide or whatever. So what about private property which would be nearly everything? Well, that is a touchy issue since the FAA says 400 ft agl MAX in most cases.
Now if I am in a manned plane at 2000 feet no one will bat an eye but if Im running a drone at 400 thats not the case. So these court cases call it a legal issue if you deny the land owner FULL economic value... Which means if I invade their property and sell the data locked up by IP they can't sell it themselves and therefore lose financial use... or something like that. IANAL though so who knows. It seems sketchey at this point to do low drone flights over property, take pictures and sell that shit. Perhaps a DRONE thread would be a worthy thing in this board Baker / droneanans? The rusty guys flights as well as other drone convo will be aggregated there and should keep the semi-off topic stuff off the Q research board but well-archived. I will give it a thumbs up!
