Xi like Putin is about China first. You can be friendly with someone, but it doesn't mean your going to throw the game for them. What has China's game plan been? To be the number one world power.

I think it was very sporting of him actually. He is holding the better hand … now we wait and see if they are smart enough to read his tell.
Weismann needs more checking into. Just a feeling, but I've been around enough second generation snot nose idiot children to know they are tolerated and given privileges out of debts or obligations owed to the parents, or some close relative like an Uncle with a network of power positions and holdings.

The two new short-range ballistic missiles that were test-fired on Thursday by the North Korean government were a "warning" to South Korea, according to state media Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
Photos show North Korean leader Kim Jong-un observing the missile launch with binoculars from an undisclosed location.
The missiles were reportedly launched toward the East Sea, in a move that was intended to serve as a warning to South Korea to stop importing high-tech offensive weapons and end joint military drills.
According to South Korean officials, this is the first missile test since talks of denuclearisation between Kim and US President Donald Trump

Epstein's 'Lolita Express' Pilots Subpoenaed In Sex-Trafficking Investigation

Jeffrey Epstein's longtime personal pilots have been subpoenaed by federal prosecutors in Manhattan, according to the Wall Street Journal. The grand jury subpoenaes were served earlier this month following Epstein's July 6 arrest at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey on charges of sex-trafficking minors. He has pleaded not guilty to the yearslong scheme in which prosecutors allege the wealthy financier sexually abused dozens of young girls from 2002 to 2005, some of whom recruited other victims.
It is unknown how many of Epstein's pilots were subpoenaed, or whether they are cooperating witnesses. According to court documents from prior cases, Epstein employed David Rodgers, Larry Visoski, Larry Morrison and Bill Hammond as pilots and flight engineers. Rogers, Visoski and Morrison have previously testified in civil depositions.
Testimony from the pilots could be used by federal investigators in their efforts to corroborate accounts from Mr. Epstein’s accusers. They could also provide detail on Mr. Epstein’s travels and his associates. Some of the pilots were responsible for keeping flight logs of passengers who flew on Mr. Epstein’s private jet, according to court filings. -Wall Street Journal

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said on Thursday that Robert Mueller could just be a "figurehead" who may not have been involved in writing "his" own report, according to The Gateway Pundit.
The comments came during a CNN interview discussing why Robert Mueller didn't seem to have "command" over the report's contents while testifying on Capitol Hill yesterday.
Clapper was heavily involved in the coup against President Donald Trump and was an advocate for the Russia hoax theory earlier on.

DoJ Approves Sprint-T-Mobile Merger, Creating Largest Wireless Carrier In The US

In a landmark settlement that ends a more than year-long battle, the DOJ approved T-Mobile's proposed merger with Spring Corp., clearing a major hurdle to a deal after the two companies agreed to create a new wireless carrier by selling a host of assets to Dish, which will be required to build a 5G network for cellphone customers as part of the deal.
The landmark anti-trust ruling settles concerns about three carriers controlling 95% of the market by creating a new fourth carrier, Dish, albeit a carrier that will struggle to catch up to its much-larger rivals. The deal will make use of Dish's valuable spectrum, which it has been sitting on for years, WSJ reports. In addition to Sprint's prepaid business, Dish will have access to T-Mobile's network for seven years after the spinoff. Dish will buy a portfolio of spectrum from Sprint, as well.

That’s why the National Security Agency sponsors summer camps around the country to encourage a new generation of security experts. Rochester is home is one such camp.
The NSA says there’s a critical shortage of people in the field, especially women.
“Because the thought of just having a bunch of girls in a room learning security is completely insane to me because it doesn’t happen almost ever so to be able to provide that and to help girls get interested in security and computers or STEM in general is really cool,” said RIT Student Emma Lubes.
RIT hosts one of only 100 cyber-security camps in the country. They’re paid for by the NSA and offered to high school students for free.

Federal Government Upholding Rule of Law by Resuming Executions, Professor Says

Attorney General William Barr ordered federal prisons to resume capital punishment on July 25.
The order follows the completion of an Obama-era review of lethal injections, which postponed federal executions until its conclusion. Within the announcement made by the Justice Department, five inmates were listed as scheduled for execution.
“Our lawmakers have put the death penalty in place in the federal government and in many states,” said Professor Ronald J. Rychlak of Mississippi School of Law in an interview with NTD News. “And we’ve had an executive branch that essentially has not been carrying out the law.”
After the botched execution in 2014 of Clayton Lockett, a four-time felon and convicted murderer, then-President Barack Obama asked the attorney general at the time to conduct a review of the lethal injection.
To conclude the review, Barr has directed the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) to change its method of execution. The triple-drug cocktail traditionally used will be replaced by pentobarbital: a drug repeatedly upheld by the Supreme Court as “consistent with the Eighth Amendment,” reads the release.
A Vow to Victims
Rychlak said he believes those against capital punishment will be compelled to try and reverse the decision in court; however, the executive branch has a duty to follow the laws as they are written.
“I think the obligation that you look at, is the obligation of the government to society,” said Rychlak. “And part of society there, include the victims.”
The Justice Department regarded the inmates listed in the release as the worst of criminals, and to execute them is to bring justice to their victims.
Daniel Lewis Lee, Lezmond Mitchell, Wesley Ira Purkey, Alfred Bourgeois, and Dustin Lee Honken—all convicted of murdering children—were sentenced to death. The earliest executions are set for December.
“The Justice Department upholds the rule of law—and we owe it to the victims and their families to carry forward the sentence imposed by our justice system,” said Barr.
Capital Punishment Is Rare
The last federal execution was 16 years ago in 2003: Louis Jones kidnapped, raped, and murdered a female soldier in 1995.
But that lapse is no surprise as executions in federal prisons are extremely rare. Since the death penalty was reinstated by the Supreme Court in 1988, only three prisoners have been executed.
The press release states that the five inmates “exhausted their appellate and post-conviction remedies, and currently no legal impediments prevent their executions.” They will be executed at the U.S. Penitentiary Terre Haute, Indiana.

Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio no longer appear on several ads in Hollywood for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, as a conservative street artist has swapped their images with those of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and film director Roman Polanski.
The giant billboard at Pico and La Cienega had been rented by Sony to advertise the Quentin Tarantino movie that opened Thursday night, but Friday morning not only have the photos of the actors been altered but also the film’s title, which now reads: “Once Upon a Time In Pedowood.”
The artist behind the alterations goes by the name Sabo, and he says that the faux ads are meant to insult the entertainment industry for embracing Polanski, who plead guilty to sex with a minor four decades ago, and, to a lesser extent Epstein, who was arrested July 6 for sex trafficking of minors.
He also noted that the backdrop of the movie is the 1969 Charles Manson murders where the most high-profile victim was Sharon Tate, the actress who was married to Polanski at the time.
Epstein wasn’t as well known among the public as was Polanski until his recent arrest, but in Hollywood he had a reputation for throwing lavish parties, one in 2010, for example, where guests included Katie Couric, Charlie Rose, Chelsea Handler and George Stephanopoulos.
Beyond the billboard, there are ads at numerous bus stops, some on benches and others behind glass. Insiders say a street crew worked through the night to get the phony ads in place before the sun rose on Friday.
One bench ad uses an image of Woody Allen instead of Polanski, as Allen was accused of abusing his adoptive daughter, Dylan Farrow, when she was 7.
“I felt they should all share a billboard to highlight a decades-old problem that has plagued Hollywood for decades: the abuse of children,” Sabo said.

DHS Kevin McAleenan Puts Guatemalan Migrants on Fast Track Home
A quiet deal with Guatemala is allowing U.S. border agencies to send Guatemalan migrants home without any delays to get travel documents, Acting Secretary Kevin McAleenan told Breitbart News.
“On Friday, we will be repatriating single adults and family units, about 135, that did not have to wait for travel documents from the Guatemalan consul,” he said July 25. “We expect to make this a routine practice that will limit time in custody, accelerate repatriations, and create a deterrent impact. It will save two to four days, on average.”
The quicker return of migrants helps to reduce the numbers in U.S. detention centers, and it reduces the overcrowding pressure which forces officials to release migrants into the United States to take jobs from Americans and to plead for asylum.
The faster deportations to Guatemala is a useful win in broader back-and-forth political struggle with the establishment of pro-migration politicians, judges, investors, and activists throughout the United States. In recent weeks, President Donald Trump has pocketed gains — a shift in public opinion in Mexico and new U.S. repatriation policies, for example — and taken losses, such as a California judge’s decision to block Trump’s reforms of asylum procedures.
The new Guatemalan repatriation process is one of several gains from a round of border meetings held with Guatemalan and Honduran officials in mid-June, McAleenan said.
The round of meetings reportedly triggered a dispute with White House officials who noted the meetings coincided with “World Refugee Day.” The day is an annual agitprop event created by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) which pushes for greater migration into the United States:

He continued:
We wanted them to understand the conditions that we’re are facing in this crisis and to do more on their end to stop the [migrants] coming in the first place. One we had that trip organized, and commitments from those senior-level people, we were not going to cancel it. None of us were aware that this was World Refugee Day.

Judge: 2nd Amendment Does Not Protect Semiautomatic ‘Killing Machines

U.S. District Judge Josephine Staton, Central District of California, ruled this week the existence of the Second Amendment does not mean semiautomatic “killing machines” must be legal in California.
Staton ruling against “semiautomatic rifles with non-fixed magazines” came in response to a California Rifle and Pistol Association (CRPA) challenge against the state’s “assault weapons” ban.
CRPA sought a summary judgement against the “assault weapons” ban on behalf of Plaintiff Steven Rupp. But Stanton rejected the summary judgement request, characterizing “semiautomatic rifles with non-fixed magazines” as “killing machines” which “are essentially indistinguishable from M-16s.”
Stanton’s point overlooks the fact that M-16s are fully automatic firearms, which can fire a magazine-full of bullets per one trigger depression, while AR-15s are semiautomatic rifles, which fire one round per trigger pull, period. Her position aligned with that California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, who argued that “[a]ssault rifles may be banned because they are, like the M-16, ‘weapons that are most useful in military service’; and ‘they are also not “in common use” for lawful purposes like self-defense.’”
Stanton opined that a ban on M-16s can stand under scrutiny of District of Columbia v. Heller (2008), because such guns are “outside the scope of the Second Amendment.” She then turned to a ban on AR-15s, saying, “Thus, if a weapon is essentially the same as the M-16, it is not protected by the Second Amendment merely because gun manufacturers have given it a different model number and dubbed it a ‘civilian rifle.’”
On July 11, 2019, Breitbart News reported a Florida homeowner used an AR-15 to stop four alleged intruders. He killed two and was shot and wounded by gunfire from the alleged invaders as well. On March 28, 2017, NBC News reported that a homeowner’s son used an AR-15 to fend off three alleged intruders and on May 13, 2014, Breitbart News reported that North Carolina homeowner used a AR-15 to defend himself against a suspect who kicked in the door of his house. Over nine million AR-style rifles were manufactured for U.S. sales during the Obama administration and ATF Associate Deputy Director Ronald Turk used a 2017 “White Paper” to explain that AR-15s are now the go-to gun for hunting, sport shooting, and other interests.
The Washington Post quoted Turk, saying, “The use of AR-15s, AK-style, and similar rifles now commonly referred to as ‘modern sporting rifles’ has increased exponentially in sport shooting. These firearm types are now standard for hunting activities. ATF could re-examine its 20-year-old study to bring it up to date with the sport shooting landscape of today, which is vastly different than it was years ago.”
The case is Rupp v. Becerra, No. 8:17-cv-00746 in the U.S. District Court for Central California.

Andy Biggs: Mueller Likely Knew There Was ‘No Collusion’ Before Midterm Elections

Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) told Breitbart News on Wednesday that Special Counsel Robert Mueller shifting his investigation from “collusion” to “obstruction of justice” indicates the point at which Mueller knew there was no collusion, which had been several months ahead of the 2018 midterm elections.
Rep. Biggs spoke to Breitbart News at Turning Point USA’s annual Teen Student Action Summit in Washington, DC.
“He didn’t realize he was saying this,” said Biggs of Mueller’s testimony on Wednesday. “He said, at some point, ‘We shifted our investigation from collusion to the obstruction of justice.’ Well, you don’t shift your investigation to obstruction of justice unless you know there was no collusion.”
“So, when I heard that, I’m placing that back a good six or seven months,” added Biggs. “Which, by the way, probably puts it in front of the midterm elections — it would have been very important for the country to know that there was no collusion, or cooperation, or coordination, or conspiracy.”
The congressman also elaborated on his thoughts regarding Mueller’s performance on Wednesday, noting that he had left the hearing wondering how involved the special counsel was with regards to his own investigation and report.
“He certainly was not at the top of his game,” said Biggs. “I don’t know if he was feeling nervous there, knowing that there might be some real tough questions on both sides — I walked away thinking, ‘I wonder how much really controlled that investigation and the output of the Mueller report.'”
“Because he didn’t seem to know what was in the Mueller report,” added the congressman. “He had to have somebody there with him to kind of help him navigate that — and so, I don’t think his performance was really stellar or indicated that he was all over this issue today.”

Dems launch ‘impeachment investigation’ with bid for grand jury info, insist Mueller delivered'
Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee said Friday they are proceeding with what they called an “impeachment investigation,” as they insisted former Special Counsel Robert Mueller delivered damning testimony against President Trump in this week's hearing despite concerns from many on the left that his appearance was faltering and broke little new ground.
As a major next step, Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., announced that the committee would file a petition in court on Friday to obtain grand jury materials from the former special counsel’s investigation.
Nadler called the grand jury materials “critically important” for their investigation. In the petition, Democrats on the committee noted that because Justice Department policies do not allow the prosecution of a sitting president, the House of Representatives is “the only institution of the federal government” that can hold Trump accountable.
“The House must have access to all evidence,” Nadler said. “We are exercising our constitutional authority. We are continuing the investigation of President Trump’s malfeasances, and we will do and consider what we have to consider including whether we should recommend Articles of Impeachment to the House. We may, we may not. It remains to be seen.”
Nadler also said the committee would seek to enforce subpoenas for former White House Counsel Don McGahn, in another escalation of their anti-Trump probes.
But while Nadler and other senior Democratic leaders made clear they're keeping impeachment on the table -- without committing to it publicly -- colleagues who spoke alongside him at the same press conference described these investigative steps as a clear precursor to a formal decision on recommending impeachment articles.
“We are crossing the threshold,” Rep. Veronica Escobar, D-Texas, said. “When you think about the mode we were operating under before, it was an oversight. This is now crossing the threshold with this filing, and officially entering into an examination into whether or not to recommend articles of impeachment—I just want to make that point clear.”
Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., added that the petition marks “the first time” that the committee is sending a “telegraph to the court that one of the remedies we have is impeachment.”
“This is an impeachment investigation, on whether we should introduce articles of impeachment to Congress,” he said.
And Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, said that the petition to the court Friday will help the committee “delve even further.”
“We are not running away from articles of impeachment,” she said. “We are building it on a trail of misconduct that was evidenced very deeply on Wednesday.”

Aide fired after fake presidential seal displayed next to Trump at Turning Point USA event
An aide has been fired after President Trump took the stage at a Turning Point USA event earlier this week in front of a doctored presidential seal that featured pro-Russian imagery and said “45 is a puppet.”
White House spokesman Judd Deere told the Associated Press officials "never saw the seal" before it was projected on a screen behind Trump as he was introduced Tuesday at Turning Point USA's teen summit. The altered seal appeared on the projector screen for at least 80 seconds behind Trump before it was taken down, the Washington Times reported.
Turning Point USA, a conservative group that has been aligned with Trump, announced Thursday that the aide responsible for the supposedly accidental mix-up has since been fired.
The doctored image featured a two-headed eagle, a direct nod to the Russia Federation’s coat of arms. The bird’s left claw held golf clubs instead of the original’s 13 arrows, which symbolize the 13 colonies. The right claw grasped cash, instead of the original’s olive branch.
The altered presidential seal read "45 es un titere," which translated from Spanish means “45 is a puppet.” The authentic seal sports the Latin phrase "e pluribus unum," the U.S. motto meaning "out of many, one."
Turning Point USA claimed that, in haste, a member of the video team searched for a high-resolution file of the presidential seal and did not realize that the image was doctored before placing it on the screen behind Trump.

The Washington Post identified the original graphic designer who created the doctored seal after the outcome of the 2016 presidential election. Charles Leazott, 46, of Richmond, Va., said he designed the seal after Trump was elected as a joke among friends and family. It was not intended for a larger audience, he said.
“This is the most petty piece of art I have ever created,” Leazott said of his mock presidential seal design. Leazott told the newspaper he had been a long-time member of the Republican Party and voted for George W. Bush twice. He said when Trump was elected, he no longer identified with the new president's GOP.

DOJ’s Russia probe review focusing on 'smoking gun' tapes of meeting with Trump aide: sources
The Justice Department’s internal review of the Russia investigation is zeroing in on transcripts of recordings made by at least one government source who met with former Trump campaign aide George Papadopoulos overseas in 2016, specifically looking at why certain "exculpatory" material from them was not presented in subsequent applications for surveillance warrants, according to two sources familiar with the review.
The sources also said the review is taking a closer look at the actual start date of the original FBI investigation into potential collusion between members of the Trump campaign and the Russians, as some allege the probe began earlier than thought. Both components are considered key in the review currently being led by Attorney General Bill Barr and U.S. Attorney from Connecticut John Durham -- an effort sure to draw more attention in the coming weeks and months now that Robert Mueller's testimony is in the rearview.
The recordings in question pertain to conversations between government sources and Papadopoulos, which were memorialized in transcripts. One source told Fox News that Barr and Durham are reviewing why the material was left out of applications to surveil another former Trump campaign aide, Carter Page.

“These recordings have exculpatory evidence,” the other source added. “It is standard tradecraft to record conversations with someone like Papadopoulos—especially when they are overseas and there are no restrictions.”
Prior to the 2016 presidential election, Papadopoulos met with Maltese professor Joseph Mifsud in London, who told him that the Russians had dirt in the form of emails that could damage Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. Papadopoulos then told Australian diplomat Alexander Downer of the new information. Downer reported Papadopoulos’ comments to him to the FBI.
A source told Fox News that the "exculpatory evidence" included in the transcripts is Papadopoulos denying having any contact with the Russians to obtain the supposed "dirt" on Clinton.
But Papadopoulos did not only meet with Mifsud and Downer while overseas. He met with Cambridge professor and longtime FBI informant Stefan Halper and his female associate, who went under the alias Azra Turk. Papadopoulos told Fox News that he saw Turk three times in London: once over drinks, once over dinner and once with Halper. He also told Fox News back in May that he always suspected he was being recorded. Further, he tweeted during the Mueller testimony about "recordings" of his meeting with Downer.
It is unclear, at this point, which of these individuals may have recorded conversations with Papadopoulos.

Since hedge fund manager and well-connected billionaire Jeffrey Epstein was arrested on Saturday and charged with sex trafficking and sex trafficking conspiracy, the names of powerful men in his social circle — including President Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton, and, weirdly, former lead investigator of the Clinton/Lewinsky scandal Kenneth Starr — have popped up over ad over and over again. Notably, only one woman’s name has made a recurring appearance in discussions of Epstein’s crimes: that of Ghislaine Maxwell, a British socialite and Epstein’s longtime confidante, who is alleged to have played a pivotal role in procuring young women for him.
Although no charges have been filed against Maxwell — or anyone else in Epstein’s inner circle, for that matter — she has long been dogged by allegations that she played a pivotal role in procuring young women for Epstein, and has been named in numerous civil suits to that effect. As for Epstein himself, he pleaded not guilty to the charges against him on Monday. (Rolling Stone reached out to Epstein’s legal team for comment, but has not received a response. Maxwell has denied any involvement in the past, with a representative calling the allegations “obvious lies.”)
Surprisingly, given Maxwell’s relatively high-profile role in both the English and American social scenes, fairly little is known about her or the exact nature of her relationship with Epstein: she’s been alternately referred to as Epstein’s romantic partner, his best friend, his fixer, and a “madam” catering to his sexual desires. Here’s what we do know about the woman who has been a member of Epstein’s inner circle for decades — and whether we can expect to see her playing a larger role in the criminal proceedings against him.
Who is Ghislaine Maxwell?
Maxwell is the daughter of British media mogul Robert Maxwell, who owned and operated a number of British tabloids and was at one point estimated to have been worth nearly $1.9 billion. She was educated at the prestigious Marlborough boarding school in the U.K., and went on to study at Oxford.
The Maxwells were active in both British and American social circles, and the family apparently had ties to Trump before even Epstein did: a 1989 clipping from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch lists Trump as a guest on Robert Maxwell’s yacht, the apty named Lady Ghislaine. In 1991, Maxwell was found dead under mysterious circumstances after reportedly having fallen overboard from the yacht. It was later discovered that he was in a significant amount of debt at the time of his death, and had embezzled from his employees’ pension fund.
Before her father’s death, Maxwell had already started building her credentials as a British socialite and philanthropist; she founded the Kit-Cat Club, a social organization for working women, and also served as director for a football club her father owned. Following her father’s passing, however, she moved to the United States, eager to escape the scrutiny of the U.K. tabloids. While she started out working in real estate and living on the (relatively) modest trust fund sum of $100,000 a year, Maxwell quickly rebounded from her father’s passing and subsequent disgrace, according to a 2000 New York Post profile, relying on the Maxwell family’s powerful network of famous friends to regain her position in the social world.
For the past two decades, Maxwell has held the types of board positions and charitable foundation advisory roles favored by the uber-wealthy, founding the charitable organization the TerraMar Project, which works to preserve the world’s oceans, in 2012. She also continued to cultivate friendships with extremely high-powered individuals such as Trump and Prince Andrew, reportedly introducing Epstein to the latter in 1997 and former President Bill Clinton, even appearing as a guest at Chelsea Clinton’s wedding in 2010.

Omar has now dumped her current husband Ahmed Hirsi - who she first married in a religious ceremony in 2002 and divorced in 2008 - and moved into a penthouse apartment in one of Minneapolis's trendiest neighborhoods, DailyMail.com has learned exclusively.
But Hirsi, is also spending time at the apartment, which is in the Mill District sector of Minnesota's largest city, when she is out of town.

'He only goes there when Ilhan is in DC,' one family friend told DailyMail.com. 'When she's in Minneapolis he sleeps at his house.'
Hirsi was noticeably absent when Omar returned to a hero's welcome at Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport last week after being attacked by President Donald Trump.
At the time, he was sitting morosely in a Starbucks coffee shop close to the now-overgrown home that he and Omar shared during their marriage, sources tell DailyMail.com.
Omar told supporters at the airport she would continue to be Trump's 'worst nightmare.'
