They're very protected, #44 made it so. That said, do believe it all comes down to the Office of Personnel Management. As long as that office exists, so will the SES. No office of P = no paychecks and no internal structure to support SES. Yes other divisions of gov rely on this office as a personnel function, but what's been talked about is doing away with the office and replacing it with something new, something different, something that excludes SES.
THAT'S how you get rid of SES. When they are no longer employed, they no longer have the protections and can be charged with the crimes they've committed.
Besides the actual law, need to understand who has been pardoned and who knew what when. #44 can't pardon for future crimes, only those committed pre-inauguration of POTUS. [KNOWINGLY] has different connotations- even tho they knew of these crimes and were pardoned, their continued silence may constitute further crimes.

^^THAT is the thing. Can't possibly imagine how long it would take to prosecute #44's citizenship case. He was in office for 8 years and we were never able to prove it. Think of all the motions and delays. All the while the DS machine keeps turning, keeps killing.
Think this is how POTUS has planned to attack- to avoid the bad optics of proving #44 unfit (place of birth / illegitimate) and simply dismantle everything he built from the bottom up. Then try Barry on his crimes and fuk the Kenyan Q... at that point, what would it matter? kek
#44 citizenship can be tackled after his crimes are exposed, making it significantly easier- and better optics- to prove his illegitimacy and restore all he destroyed.
