I look at it a different way.
I look at it that we are multi-dimensional beings experiencing the external representation of a 4D reality - IE watching a movie.
I think that experiencing higher dimensional reality is simply a change of perception and vibrational level
Most people use a religion of sorts - a personal relaptionship with the divine. Zen fits best for me, Some use the 8 paths of Buddha, some can elevate Christianity to Mystic Christianity, some find their own paths. But basically no one can answer for another what that person's connection to their own divine being and connection to the greater divine is.
I think no they are not working for the divine per se.
They may have very good probability modeling program to project likelihoods or even actual tech that is able to model or 'view possible timelines but they are not infallible in any way as we have seen. I do believe they are working for and focused on patriotism and cost benefit threat analysis.
