I remember, and people can check if they want, that the people there and Crimean Peninsula really are Russian by blood. The Russians built the naval base at Sevastapol on the Crimean Peninsula in 1783! That’s before the US was even finished with its War for Independence. That makes those ethnic Russians in that area more blue-blooded than any Son or Daughters of the Revolution in the US. Their historic ties to Russia are not some made-up construct to rationalize annexing that area for Russia. Sadly, it actually was owned by Russia until it, 1989 when that drunk president(can’t recall his name and phonefagging this) they had at the time decided that, because it was contiguous with Ukraine, he would gift it to then. He thought they would stay in the Soviet sphere forever.
That whole thing is a shame.
