question for country music listening bunker anons - i had been avoiding radio for a long time but in the last couple of months i've been listening to country, which is something i avoided like the plague for my whole life. i know that historically country was more inclined to reference traditional american values but some of the songs i'm hearing now outright reference God, tho not necessarily always in a religious way. i was just wondering if this is common in "new country". i'm well accustomed to hearing the devil referenced in music but to hear the name God ... well, i just wonder if it's another indication that God indeed is in charge.
