I have a question.

Post in qresearch.

Delete cookies and further, bleachbit everything in the browser.

Go back, post again, and the new post has the same user ID as the previous one.

How does 8kun do that?

Oh! And switching browsers on the same computer doesn't shake them off either - same user ID.

I assume by using the isp of the poster, but don't different people posting use the same isp sometimes without sharing the same user ID in a given bread?

I have a vague recollection, not retested, that rebooting my computer does the trick, but like I say, that needs retesting.

Thank you for forgiving my ignorance; I was not brought up in a computer-Internet world.

I have no need or desire to change/hide my ID, but something about this makes me uncomfortable.

Me again. Eager to check if rebooting the computer (as well as all the other bleaching beforehand) does the trick. I have to post this to see if the same ID reappears.

Thank you! 'll have to research to more fully understand "IP Hash, based on your "modem"/ISP assigned IP. !

Epic browser seems to be a Windows app - I use linux. Shucks!

Thanks again.

Thank you. I poked around a bit (searched wine+epic browser) and it might be doable on my os, but since I value stability greatly it's not high on my to do list ...

This got a chuckle from me: "Epic runs very well under Wine. I have been using it for almost one day and have not encountered any problem"

One whole day almost!
