Police: Deaths of singer, husband a murder-suicide
SANTA FE โ The Santa Fe Police Department has ruled that the deaths of popular singer Ernestine Romero and her husband, Jessie Saucedo, was a murder-suicide.
The SFPD also said the couple had been living separately in recent weeks.

Man dies in apparent suicide on freeway onramp, Glendale police say
Glendale police say a man in his 40s committed suicide on Thursday after jumping onto the on-ramp for the 134 Freeway near Brand Boulevard. (Glendale News-Press)
A 48-year-old Glendale man died Thursday evening after jumping from an overpass and onto a freeway onramp. Police say they believe the man took his own life.
Authorities received several calls around 10:13 p.m. about a body on the westbound 134 Freeway onramp near Brand Boulevard. A man had jumped from the Louise Street overpass, according to Glendale Police Department spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot
Police are withholding the name of the man at this time.
Several lanes of the freeway were temporarily closed as police conducted their investigation, according to the California Highway Patrol.

(CNN) โ A beloved activist and founder of an African-American museum in Baton Rouge was found dead in the trunk of a car, CNN affiliate WBRZ reported.
The body of Sadie Roberts-Joseph, 75, was located Friday but it wasn't immediately clear what led officers to the car. The cause of her death is still unknown, police told the station.
The vehicle was about 3 miles from her home, CNN affiliate WAFB reported.
Roberts-Joseph was a renowned advocate in the Baton Rouge area. She founded the Odell S. Williams Now and Then African American Museum in 2001, where she had been hosting the city's Juneteenth celebration for years.

Gov. Cuomo calling up National Guard to send to New York City.
Governor Cuomo was calling up the National Guard and sending state troopers to Manhattan to help with traffic control and to help with any law enforcement needs. Mayor de Blasio was in Iowa campaigning for president during the crisis and was not at a news conference city leaders held late Saturday night to update the situation.
People poured out of stores, restaurants, and theaters that were plunged into darkness. Some Broadway performances, including "Hamilton", were canceled for the night.
