The vote was 5 to 4, with Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. joining the court’s three liberal members in dissent.
The unsigned majority opinion expressed impatience with the federal appeals court in California, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, saying it had repeatedly disregarded the Supreme Court’s instructions. “This is the fifth time the court has summarily rejected the Ninth Circuit’s analysis of California’s Covid restrictions on religious exercise,” the opinion said.
The majority said California had violated the Constitution by disfavoring prayer meetings. “California treats some comparable secular activities more favorably than at-home religious exercise, permitting hair salons, retail stores, personal care services, movie theaters, private suites at sporting events and concerts and indoor restaurants,” the opinion said....
Chief Justice Roberts voted with the dissenters but did not join Justice Kagan’s opinion. He did not set out his reasoning.

18 Missing Children Recovered by US Marshals, Dozens More Located in Maryland - official gives credit to PDJT
The U.S. Marshals in the District of Maryland announced on Friday that 18 missing children were recovered as a result of the continuation of “Operation Not Forgotten.”
During the 60-day operation, officers focused on finding missing children that were in potential danger. Eleven children returned to their guardians on their own and 102 reportedly missing children were confirmed to have returned to their guardians.
“Through the collaborative efforts of all involved, the Capitol Area Regional fugitive task force in the district of Maryland was able to recover or locate a total of 131 children,” said U.S. Marshal Johnny L. Hughes in a statement.
“This number is broken down by 18 recoveries of previously missing children 11 children as self returned, and 102 children ever reported missing in the United States Marshal service was able to confirm their whereabouts.”
“Children are a blessing and are America’s future leaders,” he continued, “We must always protect their innocence and defend them from physical and sexual abuse by predators and unscrupulous individuals.”
Last year around October, 27 missing children were rescued following a five-day-long operation in Virginia.
According to the founder of a nonprofit organization focused on combating child sex trafficking, former President Donald Trump’s efforts to create an office dedicated to fighting sex trafficking have made an “incredible impact” over the past four years.

Twitter Refuses to Host Archive of Trump’s Banned Tweets

Twitter will not put former President Donald Trump’s tweets back on its platform, the company said this week, making it more difficult for the National Archives (NARA) to archive the missives Trump sent when he was commander-in-chief.
“Given that we permanently suspended @realDonaldTrump, the content from the account will not appear on Twitter as it did previously or as archived administration accounts do currently, regardless of how NARA decides to display the data it has preserved,” a Twitter spokesperson told news outlets in a statement.
“Administration accounts that are archived on the service are accounts that were not in violation of the Twitter Rules.”
The California-based technology giant did not respond to a request for more information.
NARA said the archives “intends to provide public access to all captured and preserved Presidential Record social media, including any blocked or deleted Tweets that have been transferred to us.”
“Twitter is solely responsible for the decision of what content is available on their platform. NARA works closely with Twitter and other social media platforms to maintain archived social accounts from each presidential administration, but ultimately the platform owners can decline to host these accounts. NARA preserves platform independent copies of social media records and is working to make that content available to the public,” the agency told The Epoch Times via email.
Trump did not respond to a request for comment.

The content from the personal accounts used by Trump and others during his administration will be hosted at the Donald J. Trump Presidential Library.
Several private websites have archives of Trump’s old tweets, but NARA would host an official record that could be used by journalists, nonprofits, and other organizations with confidence in the accuracy of the posts.
Twitter permanently suspended Trump on Jan. 8, accusing him of inciting violence through his posts.
Facebook also banned Trump. That decision is being reviewed by the independent Facebook Oversight Board, which can overrule company actions.

Left wing groups posing as non-partisan pressure AZ to stop Voter ID laws

This is part of a national intimidation campaign by the left to stop State legislation that would prevent voter fraud.
The non-profit Progress Arizona has been putting doorknob hangers on Arizona homes to stop SB1713.
This new AZ bill requires voters to include ID with early mail-in ballots. It includes nearly a dozen ways to comply. The hanger front says “I Love PEVL”. Some laughingly say this stands for “Progressives are EVIL”. But it actually stands for “Permanent Early Voting List”. This 2007 AZ law allows voters to be on a list to permanently receive mail-in ballots. The Democrat messaging is that SB1713 reverses the 2007 (PEVL) law.
In addition to ground and social media campaigns aimed at voters, Progress Arizona is pressuring businesses too. They currently target corporations who supported BLM by throwing that past support back in their face. Their message to these corporations is essentially this: Since you supported BLM and said you were against systemic racism, then you must publicly oppose Republican voter fraud bills because they are attacking communities of color. You must also stop all donations to any Republicans involved. Progress Arizona was one of 30 organizations that signed intimidation letters sent to executives at Allstate Insurance, CVS, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Farmers’ Insurance, and so on.
The backside of the hanger contains propaganda to scare citizens: “SB1713 creates barriers for all voters, especially people of color” and so on. But it also has a very tiny “Allied Printing Trades Council” logo at the bottom. Only two printing shops in all of AZ are licensed to use this logo because their employees are members of the Printing & Publishing union (PPMWS), which is affiliated with the AFL-CIO. Hmm!
Progress Arizona claims to be a 501(c)4 and their sister organization, Progress Arizona Institute, is a 501(c)(3). However, there is no record of either in several non-profit search tools (IRS.gov, Guidestar, Melissa). They do have a solid presence on social media and a YouTube channel started in January 2021. Progress Arizona promotes messaging from CAIR and seems closely connected to Instituto. This non-profit Instituto was founded by Luis Avila. He was born and raised in Sinaloa, Mexico and then moved to America to attend Arizona State University.
Avila was a Field Organizer for Obama and then Organizing Director for Hillary’s campaign. He has an extensive and impressive background having worked for and associated with many left leaning organizations. Avila has been an instructor and speaker at ASU, a CNN correspondent, and is Vice Chairman of the Board for UnidosUS (formerly LaRaza). He is the founder (2015) and current President of Iconico Campaigns in Phoenix, a marketing company that appears exclusively for liberal causes.
Jennifer Guzman, a former ASU student, is the Legislative Communications Director for Progress Arizona. She was recently accepted to Instituto’s Monzon Fellowship program. Instituto provides managerial type campaign training to those who work in organizations that advance leftist causes. Progress Arizona’s current stream of propaganda is promoting HR1 and has extensive attacks aimed at Senator Sinema for not supporting removal of the filibuster. Jennifer is also a former employee of Iconico....
As usual, it’s hard to decipher the spider web of non profits that push Democrat causes. They all use the same buzzwords: adversity, advocacy, communities of color, social justice, etc.
Some push leftist agendas because they have been indoctrinated. Others seem to just be chasing the endless cash provided by the lefts donors. Either way, they are tearing our country apart.
The GOP still does not have an effective solution to getting the truth to “communities of color” on regular basis.

EXCLUSIVE: Nearly 700 Americans’ Data Exposed in Giant Chinese Surveillance Files: Leaked Database
Nearly 700 Americans were flagged in a secret Chinese security database during their visits to China’s Shanghai, according to a leaked database seen by The Epoch Times.
The list of 697 American citizens, some of them as young as three years old, make up part of a 1.1 million record dataset involving more than 5,000 foreign citizens. The details recorded include their full names, birth data, and passport numbers, captured as the individuals were entering and leaving Shanghai from 2018 to 2020.
Shanghai’s Public Security Bureau, which stored the information on its server, answers to the central government’s top intelligence agency, the Ministry of State Security.
Among the people on the watchlist were also 172 Canadians, 161 Australians, and hundreds of travelers from Asian countries such as Japan and Taiwan. Three of the people tracked also hold diplomatic passports.
While the Shanghai records are far from exhaustive, it is a “small, but highly detailed window into the surveillance state of China,” said Robert Potter and David Robinson of Internet 2.0, an Australia-based cybersecurity firm that analyzed the data.
A subset of the data leak includes a blacklist containing 10,000 people tagged as “suspected terrorists,” composed of 93 percent Uyghurs. Thousands of them got flagged for accessing the internet.
Hundreds of individuals also came on the watchlist for having access to dangerous chemicals, drugs, or materials for making explosives. Nearly a half of them were employees working for foreign firms or joint ventures, among them U.S. manufacturing giant 3M, Kansas-based chemical firm Invista, and Japanese carmaker Mitsubishi.
