only place i ever was where ac was an absolute necessity - Phoenix in July. had coffee at 6 am outside, already too hot to enjoy what passes for a garden there. when ac would go off and on, as soon as it was off for 30 secs, you could feel the heat - that kinda heat gives me the creeps, could kill you quik. but phoenix is like that anyway, gives me the creeps, not a place to put a city.
