A group of business owners and the Oregon Moms Union has filed a lawsuit against Oregon’s Democratic Governor Kate Brown after “Extreme Risk” restrictions went into effect on April 30, Fox 12 Oregon reported.
Last week, Governor Brown extended Oregon’s state of emergency by 60 days, allowing her to continue to issue restrictions on businesses, according to the Oregonian. The “Extreme Risk” restrictions went into effect on Friday in 15 Oregon counties, encompassing nearly 70 percent of the state’s population.
Under these restrictions, indoor dining is prohibited at restaurants and bars; gym members are permitted just 45 minutes to exercise; movie theaters, bowling alleys, gyms, and swimming pools are limited to a maximum of six patrons indoors; and religious institutions have been asked to voluntarily limit indoor capacity to 25 percent or 100 people, whichever is smaller. Brown claimed the restrictions will last one to three weeks.
When asked why she would not allow vaccinated people to patronize businesses indoors, Brown claimed such a policy would be unfair to certain races and ethnicities who she claims have not been immunized at the same rate as the state’s overall population.
“Our vaccine distribution efforts, while fairly effective and efficient, have not been as equitable as I would like,” Brown said. “And we are working hard to close the vaccine gaps that exist among our communities of color.”
Four plaintiffs filed a lawsuit in federal court on Tuesday demanding a temporary restraining order against Brown’s restrictions. They include The Heart of Main Street; Oregon Moms Union; Melissa Adams, the owner of Spud Monkey’s Bar and Grill in Gresham; and Adams’ corporation.
“I can’t pay my rent. I come in here seven days a week for the last 14 months, trying to make this work,” Adams said. “I did everything that Kate Brown asked me to do. I can’t do this anymore.”
The group of plaintiffs stood outside of Spud Monkey’s this week to make the announcement and were joined by Sandy Mayor Stan Pulliam, a second-term mayor considering a run for governor.
“The constitution provides us specific guarantees of liberty,” said Pulliam, who has also encouraged businesses to defy the state’s COVID mandates. “The Governor’s broadly applied authority continues to be shrouded in opaque rationale, undisclosed science, and arbitrary metrics. After 14 months, it’s time to put an end to this and restore our constitutionally protected rights as Americans.”

The article – “The Case For Five New States” – argues that doing so would assist in “ending the whiteness of Congress.” “These territories have so far been prevented from becoming states as part of a larger, long-standing project to keep the Senate and Electoral College White,” it argues before adding “given American history, it’s reasonable to believe that their ethnic makeup is a primary reason why they are not states already.”
“And by refusing to grant them statehood, the White majority is effectively choosing to guard and maintain its outsized influence in the federal government,” Wilderquist notes.
OpenDemocracy has taken several grants from George Soros’s Open Society Foundations, including a grant from the left-wing group’s policy center worth $55,000 to $83,000 and a grant worth over $138,000 from the foundation in 2020 alone. In 2020, the trade between the United States and China reached 4.06 trillion yuan (about $627.14 billion), which accounts for 12.6 percent of China’s foreign trade, according to official data.
In 2019, amid the U.S.-China trade war, the United States was the second largest importer of Chinese products, buying $418.5 billion worth of goods, and suffered a $295.8 billion trade deficit, according to a report by China’s Ministry of Commerce. In 2018, when the trade war started, the trade between the United States and China amounted to $633.52 billion, accounting for 13.7 percent of China’s total foreign trade, and China enjoyed a $323.33 billion trade surplus, the Ministry reported.
Jin Canrong, one of Beijing’s top China-U.S. relations specialists, also said China is creating new business circles as it anticipates a potential decoupling from the United States.

Far from “ending cancer” in the way most Americans might envision it, the proposed agency would merge “national security” with “health security” in such as way as to use both physical and mental health “warning signs” to prevent outbreaks of disease or violence before they occur. Such a system is a recipe for a technocratic “pre-crime” organization with the potential to criminalize both mental and physical illness as well as “wrongthink.”
The Biden administration has asked Congress for $6.5 billion to fund the agency, which would be largely guided by Biden’s recently confirmed top science adviser, Eric Lander. Lander, formerly the head of the Silicon Valley–dominated Broad Institute, has been controversial for his ties to eugenicist and child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein and his relatively recent praise for James Watson, an overtly racist eugenicist. Despite that, Lander is set to be confirmed by the Senate and Congress and is reportedly significantly enthusiastic about the proposed new “health DARPA.”
This new agency, set to be called ARPA-H or HARPA, would be housed within the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and would raise the NIH budget to over $51 billion. Unlike other agencies at NIH, ARPA-H would differ in that the projects it funds would not be peer reviewed prior to approval; instead hand-picked program managers would make all funding decisions. Funding would also take the form of milestone-driven payments instead of the more traditional multiyear grants.
ARPA-H will likely heavily fund and promote mRNA vaccines as one of the “breakthroughs” that will cure cancer. Some of the mRNA vaccine manufacturers that have produced some of the most widely used COVID-19 vaccines, such as the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine, stated just last month that “cancer is the next problem to tackle with mRNA tech” post-COVID. BioNTech has been developing mRNA gene therapies for cancer for years and is collaborating with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to create mRNA-based treatments for tuberculosis and HIV.
Other “innovative” technologies that will be a focus of this agency are less well known to the public and arguably more concerning.

And now such dissent is officially “extremism.”
Yes, that’s right, in “New Normal” Germany, if you dissent from the official state ideology, you are now officially a dangerous “extremist.” The German Intelligence agency (the “BfV”) has even invented a new category of “extremists” in order to allow themselves to legally monitor anyone suspected of being “anti-democratic and/or delegitimizing the state in a way that endangers security,” like … you know, non-violently protesting, or speaking out against, or criticizing, or satirizing, the so-called “New Normal.”
Naturally, I’m a little worried, as I have engaged in most of these “extremist” activities. My thoughtcrimes are just sitting there on the Internet waiting to be scrutinized by the BfV. They’re probably Google-translating this column right now, compiling a list of all the people reading it, and their Facebook friends and Twitter followers, and professional associates, and family members, and anyone any of the aforementioned people have potentially met with, or casually mentioned, who might have engaged in similar thoughtcrimes.
You probably think I’m joking, don’t you? I’m not joking. Not even slightly. The Federal Office for Protection of the Constitution (“Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz”) is actively monitoring anyone questioning or challenging the official “New Normal” ideology … the “Covid Deniers,” the “conspiracy theorists,” the “anti-vaxxers,” the dreaded “Querdenkers” (i.e., people who “think outside the box”), and anyone else they feel like monitoring who has refused to join the Covidian Cult. We’re now official enemies of the state, no different than any other “terrorists” … or, OK, technically, a little different.
As The New York Times reported last week (German Intelligence Puts Coronavirus Deniers Under Surveillance), “the danger from coronavirus deniers and conspiracy theorists does not fit the mold posed by the usual politically driven groups, including those on the far left and right, or by Islamic extremists.” Still, according to the German Interior Ministry, we diabolical “Covid deniers,” “conspiracy theorists,” and “anti-vaxxers” have “targeted the state itself, its leaders, businesses, the press, and globalism,” and have “attacked police officers” and “defied civil authorities.”
