fade (which in reality is hide)

endif

that should not hide any names other than fake "Q". he sez.

ok, have not completely decoded the logic on where this needs to happen, but applying the big hammer as a hack to get things going is here. this no longer blocks any set name fields, so namefags are no longer hidden either.
