Thousands of inmates convicted of violent crimes eligible to earn good behavior credits
Forty-one district attorneys up and down California are supporting an effort to overturn regulations that allow up to 76,000 inmates, including those convicted of violent crimes and repeat offenders, to be eligible for good behavior credits that could cut short their sentences.
Some 63,000 inmates convicted of violent crimes are eligible to earn good behavior credits in an effort to shorten their sentence by one-third, rather than the usual 80%. The new credits went into effect May 1.
The move is related to the voter-approved Proposition 57, which incentivizes inmates to "participate in rehabilitative programs and positive activities, and to commit to sustained good behavior." Under the proposition, inmates can earn credits for participating in various rehabilitative and educational programs and completing other milestones.
The credits can move up parole consideration for people convicted on non-violent crimes who have served the full term of their primary offense and demonstrate that they would not pose a risk once released, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation website. ...

According to the AZSOS election procedures manual from 2019, the SECRETARY OF STATE is required to keep the source code in escrow.
If the vendor won’t provide it, then the AZSOS is required to.

Maricopa county supervisors are taking the strategy of “We hired a professional vendor to hold the elections in good faith, we didn’t even have the passwords to the machines”.
The vendor strategy so far is to claim the auditors have no experience and to stonewall any data or information requests.
The guilty party is becoming more and more clear.

We previously warned about the Democrats’ roadmap to use their investigative authority to further their political goals. We advised that Democrats make the investigation broad enough to subpoena records from conservative groups and websites – and their investors. We warned that they would seek donor lists and personal communications from those having little to do with the events on January 6.
The Democrats’ Bill – which elevates the January 6 “riot” to a “domestic terrorist attack on the Capitol” – proves us right.
The Bill establishes a Commission of 10 members, five appointed by Democrats and five appointed by Republicans. It will be chaired by a Democrat nominee.
The Commission will have powers to:

“Issue subpoenas requiring the attendance and testimony of witnesses and the production of evidence relating to any matter which the Commission is empowered to investigate.”
From that language we look to what the Commission is “empowered to investigate.” This power is extremely broad. And this is where the trouble lies. It includes:

“The facts and causes relating to the January 6, 2021 domestic terrorist attack upon the United States Capitol Complex.”
“The influencing factors that fomented such attack on American representative democracy while engaging in a constitutional process.”
The Danger
The dangerous part about all this is that the subpoena power is limited to the imagination of the Democrat appointees. (We assume the likelihood that at least one Republican member of the Committee will go along with anything the Democrats want, thus giving them majority vote for a subpoena.)
We also note that the Commission is given the power to obtain information from “the intelligence community” to further its investigation.
We cannot stress strongly enough the danger of such powers.
The House Democrats – those who have leaked false intelligence to the press and lied to the public about the Carter Page FISA applications – will have access, via their appointees, to raw intelligence data. Their history shows they will not use this information responsibly.
All this just proves that the Commission will be their instrument to inflict massive political harm on the Right. Remember Pelosi’s occupation of the Capitol?

Democrat moves to censure three Republicans for downplaying Jan. 6
Rep. David Cicilline (D-R.I.) on Friday began asking Democratic colleagues to sign on to a resolution to censure three House Republicans who tried this week to minimize the severity of the Jan. 6 insurrection.
In a letter to fellow House Democrats, Cicilline said that a resolution will be forthcoming to specifically censure Republican Reps. Andrew Clyde (Ga.), Jody Hice (Ga.) and Paul Gosar (Ariz.) for their remarks at a House Oversight and Reform Committee hearing on Wednesday downplaying and making false claims about the violent attack on the Capitol.
"These three members dangerously mischaracterized what happened that day and showed more sympathy for the domestic terrorists than the Capitol Police officers who died during the attack," Cicilline wrote.

"The members who testified that January 6th was 'not an insurrection' and undermined the damage that was done put their own political agendas above their country. In doing so, they recklessly disregarded the future harm they could cause by legitimizing a violent attack on our democratic institutions – a conscious and harmful decision calling into question their dedication to their role as Representatives," Cicilline wrote.
Cicilline further made his case by noting the expulsion of 17 members of Congress — 14 senators and three House members — during the Civil War for "disloyalty to the United States." Another House member was censured for supporting recognition of the Confederacy.
"This body took action to hold disloyal members accountable for undermining our democracy and violating the oath they took to defend and protect the constitution. The same holds true today. We cannot allow this abhorrent mischaracterization to go unchecked," Cicilline wrote.
