Yeah the Lotus should be easily identifiable to most people. But the Owl jumped out at me. It was literally the first thing I thought of and the fact he was using blood in that particular cell just seems like it can't be coincidental
True, he does explain that the organization itself is the visual representation of the magnetic field. So the blood alone isn't creating that image, however the fact that he was so amazed by the clarity and effect it had, the image not being 'burned' in, aka the iron remaining in the organization that the magnet put it into... Just seems, like you said, something metaphysical may be going on.
