AutoArchiveAnon here.

If that site would give me a way to post notables on there, I can do so. Would prefer automatic updates. Can also specify URLs for images including archived URLs etc. although archived URLs may take more time, so a way for updates would be nice. In any case I need an interface to do so.

Someone called me a shill some months ago as well for posting notables every single day.

>muh must be your job

Yeah, and because I censor nuthing what the fuck am I shilling? free speech and beer?

They would have to call ResignationAnon a shill too b/c he created qresear.ch, it's just retarded people or clowns.

That retarded BV called me being part of a team with the anime baker, because I talked w/ that baker a bit and made positives posts. How dare I like what any baker is doing. How dare I talk about Ghost in the Shell for 2 posts.

These people really have problems.

Attacks will only intensify?

It's pure nonsense.

I remember talking with a regular baker in January, February or March last year or so in regards of images + movies being lost. I had the idea of archiving everything on wayback machine automatically. Made a few posts in the baker thread on /comms/. Tried a bit to figure out if it was theoretically possible.

And then a bit later which was around the half-year point I actually managed to do all of that, from scratch. Had to get a server at home, setup a sap dev system and implement everything else and now here we are.

Let's pretend that baker was a shill, why the fuck would a ahill baker be interested in preserving the images? It makes no sense at all. Getting everything archived is actually bad for shills, because you can go back. Anons want that history is saved. That baker was positive. Positive == good.

Current BV even laughs about lost information/notables. That I consider a shill. Censorship bad. Lost notables bad. Lost posts/data bad.

Didn't /comms/ even do baker tutorials and tutorial sessions and so on?

It was comfy.

Why the fuck would shills do that when they want to keep the kitchen all for themselves and everyone else out?

It makes no sense.

Moar bakers == good, also bad for shills.

Is there someone who bans and attacks bakers and anons now? Yes. Weird.

I mean a few weeks ago the only one who baked was the anime baker and they even attacked him, while pretending to be the good guys. I guess no bakers good naow?

The word "bloatables" also started to show up. What does this even mean? Too many notables, oh noes have to look through them as I always do. sigh

US agency orders automated vehicle makers to report crashes

DETROIT (AP) — The U.S. government’s highway safety agency has ordered automakers to report any crashes involving fully autonomous vehicles or partially automated driver assist systems.

The move Tuesday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration indicates the agency is taking a tougher stance on automated vehicle safety than in the past. It has been reluctant to issue any regulations of the new technology for fear of hampering adoption of the potentially life-saving systems.

The order requires vehicle and equipment manufacturers and companies that operate the vehicles to report crashes on public roads involving fully autonomous vehicles, or those in which driver assist systems were operating immediately before or during a crash.

“By mandating crash reporting, the agency will have access to critical data that will help quickly identify safety issues that could emerge in these automated systems,” NHTSA Acting Administrator Steven Cliff said in a statement.

The agency says it will look for potential safety defects, and the information could cause it to send out a crash investigation team or open a defect investigation.

The order comes after NHTSA has dispatched special investigation teams to 31 crashes involving partially automated driver assist systems since June of 2016. Such systems can keep a vehicle centered in its lane and a safe distance from vehicles in front of it. Of those crashes, 25 involved Tesla’s Autopilot system in which 10 deaths were reported, according to data released by the agency.

Tesla and other manufacturers warn that drivers using the systems must be ready to intervene at all times. Teslas using the system have crashed into semis crossing in front of them, stopped emergency vehicles and a roadway barrier.

The agency also is investigating non-fatal crashes involving partially automated systems in a Lexus RX450H, a Volvo XC-90, and two Cadillac CT6s. In addition, teams investigated crashes involving an automated Navya Arma low-speed shuttle, and another Volvo XC90 operated by Uber in which a pedestrian was killed in Arizona.

The National Transportation Safety Board, which also has investigated some of the Tesla crashes, has recommended that NHTSA and Tesla limit Autopilot’s use to areas where it can safely operate. The NTSB also recommended that NHTSA require Tesla to have a better system to make sure drivers are paying attention. NHTSA has not taken action on any of the recommendations.

Jason Levine, executive director of the nonprofit Center for Auto Safety, an advocacy group, said the crash reporting is a welcome first step by NHTSA. The center has been asking the agency to oversee automated vehicles for several years.

“Collecting crash data, and hopefully data from crashes which were avoided, can help serve a variety of purposes from enforcing current laws, to ensuring the safety of consumers, as well as paving the way for reasonable regulations to encourage the deployment of safe advanced vehicle technology,” Levine said in an email.

Companies have to report crashes involving fully autonomous or partially automated vehicles within one day of learning about them, if they involve a hospital-treated injury, a death, air bag deployment, pedestrians or bicyclists, or were serious enough for a vehicle to be towed away.

Other crashes involving vehicles equipped with the systems involving injury or property damage have to be reported every month. The requirement does not apply to consumers who own vehicles or auto dealers.

NHTSA says in a statement that the data can show if there are common patterns in crashes involving the systems.

They do that now? It wasn't mandated before? wtf

UK: Vaccine passports: It's all over! Cabinet agrees it's time to 'live with Covid'... and you WON'T have to show proof of vaccination to attend mass gatherings

  • Ministers are set to shelve plans for the mandatory use of 'Covid certification'

  • Plans for pubs and restaurants had already been put on the backburner

  • The Mail can now reveal that ministers have also dropped the idea of imposing them on mass events

BUT

'The work has not been wasted. It will be needed for travel and we will have a system in place which could be used if we need it in the winter.' Indeed, plans for widespread use of the passports could be revived in the event of another major wave of Covid. This would allow venues to stay open even if cases soar dramatically. No 10 said the PM was 'increasingly confident' there would be no need for further delays to lifting curbs on our freedoms.
