Young athlete can barely walk after Pfizer vaccine caused blood clots in his brain, his father also struck down
A 17-year-old boy from Utah, USA, felt his neck swell the day after receiving Pfizer’s COVID-19 (CCP Virus) vaccine. Five days later he was hospitalized when doctors discovered two blood clots in his brain.
His father, who received the Moderna vaccine, also had a similar severe adverse reaction, according to Children’s Health Defense.
Everest Romney received the vaccine on April 21 and the next day began experiencing neck pain, fever and severe headaches. His mother, Cherie Romney, said her son’s pediatrician initially dismissed the symptoms and diagnosed it as a pulled neck muscle. However, she was convinced it was something else.
The doctor was “pretty dismissive,” Cherie said. “We were sent home.”
But within 24 hours of the doctor’s visit, Everest suffered one of the worst migraines that lasted several days without stopping until Cherie decided to take her son to the emergency room.
Finally, after more than a week of symptoms, Everest and his family had an answer to his ailments: two blood clots inside his brain and one on the outside.
Speaking with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. president of the non-profit Children’s Health Defense, Cherie Romney said her son was a varsity basketball player at Corner Canyon High School in Draper, Utah, who was a very healthy athlete, but now can barely walk.
“In a million years, I never expected it,” Romney said. “The hardest thing was I let him get that shot. And he was healthy and well before. But you question it, you can’t help but question it when it all goes wrong.” she lamented.
She also said her husband had a similar serious adverse reaction to the Moderna vaccine.
Everest’s father was hospitalised with a pulmonary infarction. An X-ray revealed that he had more than 100 blood clots in his lungs and, according to Cherie, he lost about a quarter of his lung.
The young athlete was released from the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit on 18 May and is in a stable condition, recuperating at home. His final diagnosis was cerebral venous sinus thrombosis, a rare type of blood clot that prevents blood from draining out of the brain.
