NEWARK, Del.—At the September 2018 naming ceremony for the Biden Welcome Center off the highway in Delaware, the now-president said having his name on the rest stop was “one of the most meaningful” things to happen in his life. Once billed as a “rest stop of the future” by the enthusiasts at Roadside America for its “environmentally sensitive and sustainable design,” the stop has devolved into a dysfunctional dump, according to a Washington Free Beacon investigation.

The restrooms, equipped with an overflowing used-needle deposit box, were abnormally crowded during a mid-week July trip to the Biden Welcome Center. This was likely due to the fact that only half of the bathrooms were open, and a majority of stalls in open bathrooms were either out of service or too filthy for public use. One gentleman who entered the men’s room kicked open a bathroom stall door, let out a muffled yell at whatever sat inside the toilet, and left the facility altogether.

French President Emmanuel Macron has announced that those who don’t have a ‘COVID pass’ will be banned from participating in basic life activities such as visiting shopping malls, restaurants and using public transport.

In a public address to the nation, Macron made clear that only those who have taken the vaccine, can prove recent recovery from COVID or a negative test result will be allowed to enter the venues, in addition to hospitals, bars, cafés and tourist attractions.

In an effort to force more people to take the vaccine, COVID PCR tests for the purposes of the health passport will have to be paid for, having previously been free.

This will make it financially unsustainable for most people to continually have to take negative COVID tests to go about daily life activities, forcing them to take the vaccine.

PARIS—French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday ordered all French health care workers to get virus vaccine shots by Sept. 15 and urged all of his compatriots to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

In a televised address, Macron also mandated special COVID-19 passes for anyone who wants to go to a restaurant, shopping mall or hospital or get on a train or plane. To get a pass, people must have proof they’re fully vaccinated, or recently recovered from the virus, or have taken a fresh negative virus test.

The delta variant is driving France’s virus infections back up again, just as the country kicked off summer vacation season after a long-awaited reopening. Some 40 percent of France’s population is fully inoculated.

“Get vaccinated!” was the president’s overall message. He even tweeted a GIF of himself repeating the phrase.

NHS Waiting List Could Hit 13 Million Due to Coronavirus Backlog

The health secretary has admitted that National Health Service (NHS) waiting lists could rise to 13 million in the next few months due to lockdowns and the Chinese coronavirus pandemic.

The revelation comes just days after it was revealed that NHS England waiting lists had reached a record high for the second month in a row, with 5.3 million people waiting for treatment.

In an interview with The Telegraph, the newly-appointed health secretary, Sajid Javid, admitted his department had estimated that in the next few months, that figure could more than double. Just last week, the health secretary claimed that around seven million people normally expected to have sought treatment for health problems, including possible cancer and heart disease and mental health issues, did not do so during the pandemic.

Mr Javid told the newspaper: “What shocked me the most is when I was told that the waiting list is going to get a lot worse before it gets better. It’s gone up from 3.5 million to 5.3 million as of today, and I said to the officials: ‘so what do you mean a lot worse’, thinking maybe it goes from 5.3 to six million, seven million.

“They said no, it’s going to go up by millions… it could go as high as 13 million.

“Hearing that figure of 13 million, it has absolutely totally focused my mind, and it’s going to be one of my top priorities to deal with because we can’t have that.”- READ MORE
