>except it's the vax'd that are dying

Yes, but somehow the unvaxxed are the problem, you know, because they can pass over the corona flu onto the vaccinated.

Maybe this is really a simulation, and all the sheep are actually in fact NPCs. I can't wrap my head around it, were they lobotomized?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/23_(film)

23, original German title: 23 โ€“ Nichts ist so wie es scheint ("Nothing is what it seems")[1] is a 1998 German drama thriller film about a young hacker Karl Koch, who died on 23 May 1989, a presumed suicide. It was directed by Hans-Christian Schmid, who also participated in screenwriting. The title derives from the protagonist's obsession with the number 23, a phenomenon often described as apophenia. Although the film was well received by critics and audiences, its accuracy has been vocally disputed by some witnesses to the real-life events on which it was based. Schmid subsequently co-authored a book that tells the story of the making of 23 and also details the differences between the movie and the actual main events.[2]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/23_enigma

The 23 enigma is a belief in the significance of the number 23.

Robert Anton Wilson cites William S. Burroughs as the first person to believe in the 23 enigma.[2] Wilson, in an article in Fortean Times, related the following anecdote:

I first heard of the 23 enigma from William S Burroughs, author of Naked Lunch, Nova Express, etc. According to Burroughs, he had known a certain Captain Clark, around 1960 in Tangier, who once bragged that he had been sailing 23 years without an accident. That very day, Clarkโ€™s ship had an accident that killed him and everybody else aboard. Furthermore, while Burroughs was thinking about this crude example of the irony of the gods that evening, a bulletin on the radio announced the crash of an airliner in Florida, USA. The pilot was another Captain Clark and the flight was Flight 23.[3]
